Perhaps you have watched this video before. It is a two-minute film that describes a girl who is ignored all the time whatever she does with her friends, such as going bowling, attending a concert, having a birthday party and so on. Most of the friends around her prefer looking at their mobile phones to living in the present.
The other day I saw a news item about a student who was killed by a gunman on a San Francisco train. The student and the man, who even showed his gun in the carriage, took the same train. Unfortunately, nobody seemed to notice the gun or prevent from the tragedy from happening, because as can be seen in the video, most of the passengers were consumed with, or absorbed in their phones. This new norm of experiencing the life through the gadget is not easy to avoid. However, it will be better for us, and others, if we pay more attention to our surroundings than to our phones when we are in public.

One old man told me ones, that in his youth young people looked at each other in the busses and sometimes where chatting there and made a real friendship, but nowadays almost all of them are looking at their mobile phones or gadgets or listnenig the music with their headphones on.

@Ha, what a word "slaves". Echo you! We get quick information, connect with friends, etc. from it, however, we are likely to pay the price of our health or even life. Your opinion is crucial, thanks. Hope more and more people could see the issue.
@Zoe, agree with you. Since the creative functions of smart phones are getting innovative and alluring day by day. People might be hard to stop using them. Only we may need to be aware of what we are really doing at the moment while using our phones. Thank you for the comment.
This video is so true to reflect the phenomena nowadays, and sad. It is just like one coin has two sides. When High-tech brings us the convenient life, it also brings some new issues we may think to think about this. Thank you for sharing the soul-searching video and the useful audio recording.
