What do you do?

Today I came up to ask you a question! And, the question is how do you manage your emotions especially when you are upset? I have found, I usually get upset, sometimes just for a trivial matter! What a pity! Though finally I can manage myself but it hurts me. So, I would like to ask you actually how do you feel in a tough or unusual situation and how do you manage these situations?

Yesterday I was upset and it was not due to for a trivial matter. There was a very reason. And, whole day long I felt bad. Even I was upset after reaching home. Then at night I thought why should I be so frustrated and be angry?

I ponder over the situation many times then this morning I have decided we should not think about a situation too much! Instead when we feel bad we may do something!

So, this morning I got out a dress which I had not wear for some days. I did it because it may let me think that I was going to wear a new dress today! Then after reaching at office, I gave myself 20mminutes to be settled down. I sang a song, of course in a bit lower pitch and recited a poem. And, this sort of activity  made me feel good! And, now I am not upset at all!

 So, what do you do?

  • Thanks a lot, dear friends! I really appreciate you all for your time and great inspiring comments! Take care and be cheer up too.

  • If I'm upset at the moment...I will.....

sit, pray, lie in the bed, sleep.....until morning. I will smile again for sure. :) :D :D

Nice topic, Afro. Btw, you may consider my correction if you like.

Then at night, I thought why I should be so frustrated and be angry. --> "indirect question".

  • What a cute way to cheer yourself up, that's very nice (I like specially the thing about singing... music is the best therapy!)

When I'm upset or sad I prefer to isolate myself. I need to take my time to think or whatever I need at that moment. And when it's time to cheer up myself well... depends on the moment, but the thing about singing is a cool option :)

Nice blog Afro, thanks for sharing!

  • It seems there are always things that make us so upset or disappointed - most of the time, though, you can do nothing but accept such mishaps.

  • Hello Dear Afro :) Hope you're feeling better now.

You're not the only person who goes bonkers/loses his temper over something extremely insignificant, we all are the same when it comes to feeling upset.

When I'm upset, I stay silent without uttering even a single word and listening to anybody else, Sometimes I feel The need to act on my anger, But I say to myself" Hey don't let your grip loosens, Better to focus on how to find a solution to my anger for example if someone makes me feel irritated, "I'll have to know what sorta topic brings that annoyance and irritate when talking to that person another time"

I resist the urge to unload all unspoken grievances :D and they know that I have ignored my anger and controlled myself......they become angry instead of me when seeing me having ignored everything LOL

  • Thanks everybody for reading!

  • Greetings to you dear Afro,it saddens me to know that felt that emotion though inevitable. If I'm upset,I pray. This works all the time. But we need to sort out the feelings if it is worthy for us to feel that way. Stay happy Afro,it is always a good decision.
    Thanks for sharing this.
    God bless.
  • I have to destroy myself physically, so I work out :D then I feel better because this negative energy, mood is gone ...
  • Dear Afro! WoW! nice post! sometimes I do the same and sometimes to feel comfort is entirely difficult, a little uncomfortable, how much trying to forget, the things just kept racing to the front of my mind when I am upset and desperately trying to shove them back.

  • Donnobad Afro! I read (gul Hoowa Allahu ahad) (gul aoothu berabi alfalag) (gu aoothu berabi annas) in the morning and when I go to sleep. Besides, as you said, no need to worry about trivial matters. Thanks for sharing!
