Recently, I bumped into a status that really hurt my feelings. I don't intend to cause a ruckus and quote the exact words. Seriously, what would be the point? It was a pet peeve about the comments some friends, accent on friends, leave on each other's walls.
Personally, I'm glad that this particular English club is not a 'dating site'. The Terms and Conditions section has made it crystal clear for anyone who thinks otherwise. And it should, nay, it must be that way. This is a community for anybody who wants to practice English and/or meet new friends from all over the world. Trust me, the sky's the limit for you and I, 'cause there are endless ways to do so.
But riddle me this: What is so risqué about wishing a happy day, week/weekend, year,...for a friend, accompanied by a little picture? For, there are times in your life when you feel blue and that wish from a friend no matter how far s/he lives from you could be way better than a phony 'sup'["What's up?" for lazy people:)] from a friend who lives two blocks away.
So, next time, please don't be judgy (Sneezy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Bashful,...; um, wait, where was I? Curse you, ADHD!) as soon as a new item pops up on the main page. Click on those nicks, see their pages, look through their friends list, read their comments, ALL OF THEM! Most of the pages here are not private, so happy exploring!

Whenever I can not come to EC for a while and then a friend leaves me a kind message, it brings a big smile on my face; I say oh they still remember me and they actually have missed me. Nice feeling. Thanks for your virtual and funny hug; it comes from your kind heart, so I will accept it with open arms.:D Wish you all the best.

As I mentioned above, there is nothing wrong with sending a cute little message to a dear friend to cheer him/her up. It's actually kinda sweet! As long as you know your limits. If not, that's what private messages are for. But I'm not going there. Personally, I do not have anything to hide. My dear friends are nice to me and I always try to return the favor.
