Hey, here there are some impressions about my first stay in Dublin.
I was there at the last weekend of February. The weather was typical sunny, cloudy, windy, warm and cold it was all there.
After a short flight from Frankfurt, we’ve arrived Dublin airport.
Well, first problem, in front of the airport there are a lot of bus stations with only numbers.
Which is the right number to city center? Good question. But don’t worry.
The Dubliners are very friendly and helpful.
We bought a ticket for line 700, it was a little bit expansive, but with baggage, the best choice to get into the city.
We started our stay with a full Irish breakfast.
It was my first time that I ate white and black pudding. Up to this time I don`t knew what it was….
Fed up and excited to explore the city, we’ve started our tour at the most known area at Dublin – Temple Bar.
Temple Bar is located next to the Liffey, it`s the “In area” of Dublin with a lot of Pubs and really delicious restaurants.
But Dublin has much more as only Pubs and restaurants.
Nice churches and a lot of statues into the streets like Molly Malone.
She was a fishmongeress and the Dubliner calls her jokingly “the dish with the fish”. Next stop was Trinity College with its old library and the book of Kells. It was nice to be there. But nothing for me too many old books. And I’m not interested in it. In front of the college, stop the “hop on - hop off” busses. We bought a ticket, and you can use it whole two days and reach all sights of Dublin. We drove through the city and stopped at St. Patrick’s cathedral. It’s a big church with nice sculptures and a big nave.
After that we hop on and visited my favorite thing. The Guinness brewery. It’s a tall building over 7 flats and you can look, how was made beer. And the best thing is, you can enjoy a free Guinness at the highest floor, with a great overview about Dublin.
Next day we’ve visited the Samuel Backett Bridge and found out “The Walking Dead” comes from Dublin.
It was the Famine Memorial.
It shows some people, they walk towards, to the ships, in hope for a better live.
Well, that was it….
If you wanna visit Dublin, you have to do a couple of things. Buy a “hop on / hop off ticket”, visit the different churches and enjoy a Guinness at the brewery. But the important things is, if you improve your English skills, visit a pub enjoy a meal and meet a lot of friendly Dubliners

My one and the only time to Dublin was very short trip. Instead of spending a full day in Dublin, my friend and I went to the Giant Causeway and Belfast. But, Dublin is indeed very beautiful. I hope I can visit it one day in the future and spend more time exploring it.
Thank you for sharing your nice trip.
