I won’t let the year pass without saying a word about it. Exactly! I’m thinking where to start, okay, I should go back how I get here, I’m a regular from the “other room”/”1997 chat room”, I met someone there who had introduced MyEC, so I became a July new member. I noticed so many things here in MyEC, it’s definite that gradually you’re enhancing your writing skills in English language, at first, I thought involving myself to the chatroom will help me develop more, but as time goes by, you can’t expect all members are sweet and sugary, you’ll engage yourself in different kinds and all walks of life, brace yourself as your opinion is not their opinion, and what seems right for you doesn’t necessarily mean right for them, it’s a matter of respect. I won’t pretend that I’m not affected at all, in fact, I even blocked, reported and ignored some people here, I don’t feel sorry for that, it’s my way of protecting myself and them as well, it’s my little way of helping bullies/pervert to stop at least for me, so I’m a minus to all people they love to bring down. Lesser evil. Hahaha! At the same time, spreading good vibes and motivation to other members, because at the back of my mind, I know once in my life I’ve been like them, felt the same awkwardness what to say and how to say it.

As an introvert, I learned to mingle, to collaborate, to communicate (Well, you know, only in writing. :D)in a sense that it’s a must for me to feel the pulse before I click the “add a comment” button, it’s what we call consideration.

Furthermore, I’d like to thank so many people who have helped me and still helping me through this learning process. Thank you, EC friends!

Thus, I’d like to thank those people who brought me down, thank you; I’d learned another meaning of respect. :D

Now, to answer Sir Expector’s question, my favorite and what impressed me the most, the blogs…isn't it obvious, I'm already hooked up.hahaha! Next is Jeopardy pioneered by Sir Danny and Teacher Tanya (thank you Teachers!), then, the groups that people could exchange ideas concerning a particular objective. And significantly, my friends, their thoughtfulness, and the care they’ve shown the honesty and the friendship. I’m blessed.

Every member is unique and their peculiarities are outstanding, no matter how big or small their contributions are they sum up the value and serve the purpose of this site’s existence.

I’m glad to be a member, every day I keep in mind that people can affect you, only if you allow them; it’s a matter of how you absorb their words, constructive or destructive, helpful or useless. I hope other members who feel like an affiliate of minority speak up, write and enjoy their learning journey this coming year.

Lastly, the English language is not there to defy us; it is how we define it, by heart. Happy New Year! Welcome, 2017!!!
