U.S. History - Passive Voice
1. Jamestown was settled by the British in 1607.
2. Thanksgiving was celebrated by the Pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians in 1621.
3. The French and Indian War was fought by the Colonists and British in 1754.
4. The Colonists were taxed by British Parliament to pay for the French and Indian War.
5. Tea was thrown into the Boston Harbor by the Colonists to protest high taxes in 1773.
6. The towns of Lexington and Concord were attacked by the British in 1775.
7. The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson.
8. The Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Founding Fathers on July 4, 1776.

In fact at first I didn't get your meaning and thought you meant "impressionable" by saying "passive", but after your explanation I got it !
By the way your passive examples are just about simple past tense, try other tenses as well.
