There are '2 kinds of people':
-Those who pick to type 'lol' when they want to 'show' that they find something funny.
-Those who pick to type 'haha'.
What 'kind' are you?
I'm the 'haha' kind... and I've always hated to see someone typing 'lol'!! >.>

LOL= laugh out loudly... I myself use both... and if you write _lol_ you can see a guy who is laughing and his/her hands are up...
Mishaikh, funny you too :D
Nimzaf, yeah I find 'lol' a more 'common way' of writing a laugh for teenagers.
Seeker, I don't think 'lol' is more formal... it means 'laughing out loud' and that's informal. As I've already said in a previous comment, usually I find 'lol' more popular between teenagers or very young people.
Rigth Evangelina, it's cool to see that there are so many ways of writing a laugh! Let's keep laughing! :D
pitse, that 'wkwkwkw' and 'qiqiqi' laugh sounds so cute to me! I love it! :)
ELF Noor, mmm cool and smart! you know how to adapt depening on your 'audience' :)
Yeah AReality! I also find a long 'haha' more expressive! :D
setareh that's another thing I'm addicted too: the emoticons!! Sometimes I even miss them while speaking :D About the 'lol' thing, actually I'm already used to see it, so I don't mind that much; but I really didn't like the 'lol' way of 'writing a laugh' because I never 'felt' the people who used to write it was really laughing! :D
Reza Affandi Mohamad, hell yeah! I really need that cute 'wkwkwk' laugh! :D
Samuel oh yeah, just a smile is very nice :)
Misterious Mister Estanis! That's my new nickname for you! :D
Cool Onee-chan!! Mine is kind of that too! :)
You're Bi-Laughter! That's great Elen :D

Mary, this is my original style...... :D
Mary, nice blog, I agree with you, the word "lol" is meaning nothing. But I think "the smile" is better than both.
you need "wkwkwkwk" also..
for me its depends, with whom i am chatting, i am type of both, :)
But LoL that is I think the new generations way of chuckling.
But both the words are not in the dictionary. Hah Hah Haa.
