Last week I went to Morelia, like the most of times that I travel for work I have not time of visiting almost nothing.... awww ...very sad I know :( ... but I will do it one day, this time at least I had the opportunity to know some places in the center of the city I hope you like them ...Let's go...
Morelia is a city and municipality in the north central part of the state of Michoacán in central Mexico. The city is in the Guayangareo Valley and is the capital of the state. The main pre-Hispanic cultures here were the P'urhépecha and the Matlatzinca, but no major cities were founded in the valley during this time. The Spanish took control of the area in the 1520s. The Spanish under Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza founded a settlement here in 1541 with the name of Valladolid, which became rival to the nearby city of Pátzcuaro for dominance in Michoacán. In 1580, this rivalry ended in Valladolid’s favor and it became the capital of the colonial province. After the Mexican War of Independence, the city was renamed Morelia in honor of José María Morelos y Pavón, who is from here. In 1991, the city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well preserved colonial buildings and layout of the historic center.
The Catedral....
I don't know about arquitecture but I really like to admire it ... that's looks some "Baroque", isn't it ?
I was impressed with that... so beautiful "vitrales" (windows)
There are a very famous Hotel here named " Virrey de Mendoza"... my coworker and me used to have breakfast in the restaurant there...
My coworker was laughing of me for a long time... :( ... since I let knows that I didn't like to sit in the furniture of this place because I felt there were people dead around ... like in the film "sixth sense"... lol
awww pretty scared... I love it .... lol
Well like I said there are too much for to visit there... unfortunatelly I had not the time ... my coworker wanted us to stay at least one day more but Im really very busy preparing my next travel to Texas next weekend so... anyway there are more time than life... I will be back again....
Even I really enjoyed to be in Morelia...
See you soon friends...
