TRANSPORT IN MY CITY

I use public busses for transportation. I do not have my own vehicle. I use Coach (a mode of transpiration in our city) to go to my work. We are the only ones who can travel in these coaches. I do not think dwellers other than those in my country have the guts and patience to travel in them. It is very risky traveling in this transport, because there are pickpockets, looters and snatchers. You can’t say when you will be deprived of your cash and valuables by these hoodlums. My job place has been shifted to SITE. Within a period of six months dozens of similar incidents have occurred so far, which includes four of my colleagues who have been deprived of their cash and cell phone at gun point.  Recently one of our directors have been looted on gun point two time in a week. He was in his luxury car.  When I get on these transport, I start to recite prays, because only God can protect us. No civil authorities will come up to our protection, even if we ourselves go to them for help, we will find a stone face – stone heart, (Surprised why? They may have been a part of it and scavenging their share).

  • Thanks saba for your concern.

  • I didn't know about dangerous transport condition on Karach, I thought there is insecurity just in Pakistan borders not in cities,.......Anyway, using public transportation is a safe choice,

May God protect you and your family.

  • Our transportation is save so you can use it during  the day or night and nothing will happen :) like in pensioner's house :)

    Thanks for sharing :)

  • If law enforcing agencies carry out their duties with full responsibility, this will help in controlling the street crime. We have found that most of the time these agencies are at the back of these hoodlum.

Few years back, I was in Dallas USA, my brother in law came back from his shop and that two boys robbed his cash at gone point.

One hour later he told us that one of the looters was shot dead and the other one captured alive by the police.

You see the responsibility of the duty.

  • After this article, I understand that still love my country.

How do you think, maybe to rob people is a bussines of civil authorities? They  do not interfere in the affairs of robbers and robbers generously sharing with them their prey.

  • Mishaikh,, I like the way you tell us, your writing is again, nice.

Hmm, I'm so sorry to hear that. The condition are the same with some places here too.

The way to protect ourselves are using a simple clothes, or simple/very usual jacket to cover instead of wonderful clothes, especially women, not using attractive jewelry, be confident and not like a flustered people, and sure I agree with you, we should always pray before going anywhere. :))

Thanks for sharing your real life story, Mishaikh. I hope Allah always be with you. :)
