CHAHEY MUJRIM SAMAJ YA KOI GUNAHGAAR HAMAIN 
SAAF KEHTEY HAIN K IK SHAKHS SAY HAY PAYAR HMAIN 
DIL DIA HAY JO KISI KO TO MUKERNA KAISA 
PAYAR KIA HAY TO HAALAAT SAY DARNA KAISA 
APNEY ISS JURM KA IQRAAR HAY SO BAAR HMAIN 
SAAF KEHTEY HAIN K IK SHKHS SY HY PAYAR HMAIN 
HUM  NAY MANA K HMAIN JAAN SAY JANA HOGA 
JAAN DAY K BHI HAMAIN PAYAR NIBHANA HO GA 
LO SUNO TERK E MOHABBAT SY HY INKAAR HMAIN 
SAAF KEHTEY HAIN K IK SHKHS SY HY PAYAR HMAIN. 

چاہے   مجرم  سمجھ   یا   کوي   گناہگا ر  ہمیں

صاف کہتے ہیں کہ اک شخص سے ہے پیار ہمیں

 

دل  دیا  ہے  جو  کسی کو  تو  مکرنا  کیسا

پیار کرتے ہیں تو حالات سے ڈرنا کیسا

 

اپنے   اس  جرم  کا  اقرار   ہے   سو بار    ہمیں

صاف کہتے ہیں کہ اک شخص سے ہے پیار ہمیں

 

ہم نے مانا کہ ہمیں جان سے جانا ہو گا

جان دیکے بھی ہمیں  پیار  نبھانا  ہوگا

 

لو  سنو   ترک   محبت   سے   ہے   انکار  ہمیں

صاف کہتے ہیں کہ اک شخص سے ہے پیار ہمیں

  TRANSLATION

No matter you consider me a guilty or sinner

I clearly confess that I’m in love with someone.

 

Why would I deny when I have given my heart?

Why would I be frightened of the circumstances when I am in love?

 

I accept hundred times this crime

I clearly confess that I’m in love with someone.

 

I agree that I may lost my life

But I will abide the norms of love

 

Lo! Listen!! I will never quit loving him

I clearly confess that I’m in love with him.

    Only poetry has such power to put its impact differently on different people. You got pensive by reading it, because it might have awaken your sad moment in relation to love. So when you read it, it just touches the strings of sitar (musical instrument) of your heart.

    I like poetry so I want to share with the people of other languages through the medium of English, and I try my utmost to maintain the charm, beauty and emotion of the original work. But still I am at 'even before the start' of learning.

    I don't understand Urdu but I found this translation is very beautiful. Yah maybe because it is about love and you are the one who did it, so it's very beautiful, without any doubt. But there is something strange for me. I was reading this yesterday and strangely I felt sad, so I decided to read again tomorrow in case I would have my mood changed. Apparently I have guessed wrong,I am feeling sad still, the first question is, Is it a crime to love someone?
