...To my unknown heroine

It is not too weird having an accident or incident while you are on holidays abroad but you never think of it since the aim of your trip is to enjoy discovering new amazing lands. 'It happens to others but not to me', that might be the normal thought one's can have till the victim is you. When you're unexpectedly involved in such event thousands of kilometres far from home, you (and your partner) are totally dependent on the people around to help you but then it reaches a point in which communication is essential to deal with bureaucracy stuff and I assure you that these are not the best moments to learn how local laws work for medical care with foreigners. What are the probabilities of encountering the person in the right time and place who speaks your mother language where even English is not widely spoken in this country? I guess not so many but I can state that this "angel" saved my ass dealing with proper authority for being driven to a hospital and attended by medical care after some treatment. I can't remember now her face but I won't forget how calmly and confident she mediated between them and us.Now I regret not asking for her number, address... whatever. I don't know her name, I know nothing about her but I'm grateful for having met her.God bless you my unknown heroine whoever you are wherever you live.I'm not a superstitious person but I'm sure that if bad luck exists, good luck also exists at least in the same proportion. It was bad luck having such incident after a serial of circumstances but, what can I call finding such person in that situation? for me it was something similar to a miracle. Or maybe my destiny. This is not a blog about incidents, trips or countries, just an appreciation one and that's why further info hasn't been given. Thanks for reading and you can share any similar case happened to you if you wish.

  • Yes dear Evan, there are cool and nice people everywhere thanks God. I thought For a few time that I won't come back home by my own, maybe that's why encountering this girl seemed to me finding an angel. The mark of my head will remember it for life :)
Thank you for your reply and friendship Evangelina.
  • Robbie!

Yes, I suppose it was not my day for leaving already haha... but it was close :D
Well I've heard of that 'law of attraction' and I believe it. Thanks for reading and your compliment.
  • My friend Mishaikh,
Thanks for sharing your story too, I appreciate it.
When we're far from home or out of our comfort zone we must be sharp enough to deal with many different situations that, at first they seem to be nervy and stressing but at the end everything has a nice ending.
Once we lost the last bus to take us to rail station for returning by train to the city where our hotel was placed, we had to walk for a long time along a dessert road, at first we were so disappointed and down but then it became a nice experience and adventure to tell.
  • It's nice to know you're doing well and kicking, Senior Estanis! Every action has a corresponding karma. The more good deeds you give, the more blessings you'd receive. Perhaps she was a guardian angel sent from above because you've been a nice person. :)

  • I do not travel much.  A few times in my entire life.  Once I had to take my sister and her three kids to Afghanistan (At that time it was safe), via one of our own country's city in north.  I did not know any thing about that city.  In the airplane the guy on my next seat started talking with me, while I was preoccupied in my worries, what I would do at the destination, how would I take the taxi, how would I bargain with them etc.  When we reached the destination and getting out of the airport that man asked me where I was going, I told him my address and asked him to help me to get taxi, he said to come with him in his car which was waiting for him because he lived near my address.

So an angel was there to solve my problem  too.  I also did not know any thing about him, even his name.

  • Hi Adaline,
I like your sentence of gratitude. It's said that money attracts more money and somehow I think gratitude attracts gratitude also, like an invisible law of attraction.
Thanks for coming and commenting dear and keep the way you are :)

    My friend Risty,
So "when I was young"? Hmmm... I didn't know you were a lovely granny :)
As for your advices I also bare it in mind and that's why also my insurance covered me (I prefer not to think if I had not it) btw it's the first time I had to use it. Hopefully the last one too.
Glad to see you again and if you ever need help when come here just let me keep ;)

    Dear onee,
I've learned the lesson so well too, it won't happen again, don't worry :)

    My friend Kaly,
Please don't make me blush, I'm a sensitive person haha... now you understand why I wore that cap in the pic right :D

    Hi Setareh!
And thank you for your story. This happened to me last September and I admit that when I see/read the name of this city or something makes me recall it, I have sad and nice remembrance of it at the same time. Anyway I have a natural tendency to keep the good moments and forget the bad ones. For good or for bad an scar will remember me for life haha...
Thanks for reading and sharing Setareh.

    Hello,Shadow
Thank you for your compliment. I don't use to express my feelings so easy but I felt like writing about her. I think it's fair.
    Thanks a lot.
  • My neighbor,
Thanks for your concern. Don't worry I'm still living and kicking :D
You're right and I tested it, actually it can be one moral of this story.

    Hello Elisa,
Surely when we're out of our comfort zone or far away every little help received seems to be bigger. That's right. I would have acted like that too with no effort needed.
Thank you for your comment and time.

    Hi learner,
Is That because you might think I don't use to be sincere? Haha... well, I admit I should be a bit more thankful but I'm on my way :)
Thanks for reading. Ah... what happened to your name? Changed after married? :D
Btw, hope your new married life's going so well. Let us know when you'll become a father :)

    Dear Shoba,
... and it's even greater to know that such kind of people do exist. Maybe When we need one, there's always any near you ready to offer help. As you say, I believe these cases help to inspire people to do the same although it can be something innate on some humans too.
    Thanks for dropping by Shoba.

    Hi Luci!
...I bet not as scared as I was then lol... at least I can tell it now Phew...!!
Sure I'm O.K. Just a mark in my head as a 'souvenir' from this city.
Sorry Luci, I don't see any turtle tears this time :p

    Hi AG,
Thanks for your concern. You have a nice saying and perhaps it's better that things work like that.
This reminds me another saying here. 'Do the good and don't look at whom'
Thanks for coming and reading my friend.
  • Nice to read it. How nice you expressed your deeply feelings to your unknown heroine. Just awesome!!!!! Thanks for sharing dear estanis.
  • Dear Estains, there are nice people every where. Once my brother's car got problem in the middle of no where so far away when  he was in vacation. A guy helped my brother dragging his car and he also took my brothers kids to his home till the car got fixed. My brother said that he now has a good impression of that city because of that nice person. It's really nice to help people especially those who are new in your city or country.

  • Dear Estanis,
