All over the world, people ring in the New Year with new resolutions. If you're not familiar, a New Year's resolution is a tradition in which a person makes a promise to do an act of self-improvement or accomplish a goal in the New Year. With January 1 fast approaching, you may be contemplating your 2016 resolutions. While many resolve to exercise more or drink less, if you're like most ESL students, your resolutions probably include promises to study more, follow through with lessons, memorize new words daily, read a book in English, or the like, all in hopes of improving your English level, landing your dream job, or passing a challenging exam. While New Year's resolutions are fun and easy to set, only 8% of goal-setters actually keep them!
