Think fast!

Solve this problem in less than 2 minutes! Okay, maybe 3, um, 4??? :/

3568=3

8066=5

7601=2

8166=4

6233=1

1541=0

9888=7

6906=4

8968=6

4500=?

Nothing, huh? Come on! Don't overheat your brain. Actually, kids can solve this problem in less than 5 minutes. Ooh, that's going to be a giant bummer if you can't. Those kids will eat you alive!

P.S. This blog entry is dedicated to dear Onee-chan and anybody who's interested in solving math puzzles and/or problems.

P.P.S. Spoiler alert! I'm not interested in math or any of its scary and weird family members. D:

But you guys have fun. :)

  • Aseven, look at the face on your this blog... It would be me..  :))

  • You're right. This is my comment on Vision's wall:

    Hiya, Thanks for your comments on Think fast! I owe ya! Big time. I know that puzzle's not math (flinch) per se, however, anything with a bunch of numbers and ×, ÷,-, + and = in it, is math (I'm hyperventilating!) to me. What do you say we let other members take a shot at this? I'll delete your last comment, then. Please don't be math at me. =)
    P.S. I know, the pun's kinda lame. Still though...=D

    Regardless, all comments are always welcome. Valid is a strong word in this scenario and it causes misunderstanding. Let's just say "the correct answer without having second thoughts" =)

  • :)))))) Aseven, I know well the answer is 2 because once I ever knew this kind of question, but forgot at first. I was just asking if my second answer (2) was not valid, because I already guess 5 at first. That's okay. But,  you should have written "the first answer is valid". No second chance. Hmm..

  • Let me make myself clear. I showed this to my 4-year-old nephew and his answer was 2. But his Papa was trying to prove him wrong. I wanted to make sure this claim "Adult brains look for a mathematical solution. Those not yet trained to recognize the sequence as an equation do not limit their search for a solution and begin to evaluate the pattern visually." checks out. Of course this is NOT a valid experience. But still. To be fair, I decided to choose those who were sure the answer is 2.

  • Hmm..

  • Hmm..

  • It means not something to worry about.
