A wise man was living in an island. One day while he was shopping in the island's market, a man came from behind and slapped the back of his neck.
the wise man turned to him angrily, and he wanted to quarrel with him, but the man apologized saying: I am sorry sir, I thought you might be someone else!!
The wise man didn't accept this excuse and insisted on revenge then when the shouting between them increased, the people suggested that they should go to the judge to judge between them, so they went to the judge!
Unfortunately, the judge related the family of the offender!! When the judge heard the story, he winked to the offender "he intended, I will save you from this Issue".
The judge then issued a judgment, that the offender should pay twenty pounds to the wise man. He said this is the legal punishment.
The offender said: "But, sir, Judge, I have no money on me now".
The judge said, with a wink to him "go out and bring the fine, and this guy will wait here until you come". The man left.
The wise man sat in front of the judge, and he waited. But many hours passed and the man did not come back...The wise man understood the trick, especially as he was looking for an explanation for the winks from the judge to the offender. What did the wise man has done?
He went to the judge and slapped him on his cheek, a strong slap which flew his hat away and he said to him: "If the offender brought the twenty pounds, you can take it, it's the value of the legal punishment for you".
