Recently I’ve seen the anime “Princess Mononoke” by Hayao Miyazaki. This film is the masterpiece among similar anime. The main characters are the Prince Ashitaka and Princess Mononoke (her name stands for «vengeful spirit»). Princess Mononoke was brought up by Moro, the Lord of Wolves, because people left her in the forest as sacrifice for wolves.

The plot of this anime is very interesting. The Wild Aper attacked the Ashitaka’s village – it starts panic, fright, horror in the village … Ashitaka battles against the Wild Aper and kills him. But… The Wild Aper damns people! And the wound of Ashitaki becomes his damnation! A wise old woman interprets the diabolism of the Wild Aper: “He suffered very much!” and foretells the death of Ashitaki. But these facts are only the beginning of the story! Interesting adventures wait for us!This story is about the struggle of people against the Nature (environment). This story is about human greediness, brutality, craftiness. In this story the Nature (the Lord of Forest) demonstrates people their real position. The main idea of this film: “The Nature is immortal – people are deadly! Who wishes to kill the Nature – those will be destroyed! People are only a part of Nature!”What else attracts our attention? As always – these are wonderful graphic arts. The landscape, animals, people – all of them are painted splendidly. Also, it’is beautiful music! Music theme of the film is wonderful! It is the «Legend of Ashitaka» composition by Joe Hisaishi (his real name is Mamoru Fudzisava). The text of the song was written by Hayao Miyazaki: “These are words, whispered by Ashitaka for San, Princess Mononoke, in his reflection.”I think every fan of anime should see this film! It is the classic of genre!Note: It was written Hardi's Anime Group and published there. Hardi is the great sensei, who inspires all the members of the group!

  • A long time ago, this was also my favorite anime. I even tried to draw mononoke hime.. Well it was pretty much like copying it.. But It was for exercise.. I wanted to learn drawing better. And I thought, that a anime that I love, would be a best subject for exercise. In end, I didn't finish it.. here it is, only head.

It's not 100% copy from original. I remember I tried to make it little different.. like hairs or something or so, I think, but..
