As the Noas's suggestion, I translated this folk tale of the cockscomb flower into English. 

Once upon a time, every chicken had a beautiful red comb. One early morning, a hen looked at herself in a pond and felt so happy with the red comb which look like a bunch of flower in her head. She excitingly and happily clapped her wings and sang the chicken's conventional song "cook a doodle doo, my comb has grown".

All creatures turned to look at her and praised : "Wow, what a pretty comb, you look so nice".

She went around to look for something to eat. When she went by a water tank, suddenly she heard someone crying quietly. She bended her head and blinked her eyes and listened carefully. Oh well there was a purple tree crying alone. The hen was so joyful and contented, her friend's sorrow made her ambarrassed. She hurriedly ran toward her friend, asking attentively:

- What has happened with you?

Teardrops as pure as morning dew were falling continuously into its root, the tree said:

- Every tree around here has pretty flowers except me.

And the tree bursted into tears again, her tears dropped a lot. The hen tried to comfort her as much as possible but it didn't work. After thinking for a little while, finally she made here mind:

- I will give you my beautiful red comb, is it ok?

The tree became so excited, shouting:

- Really? Is it real? Thank you so much.

Next day morning, people got surprised as the beautiful red comb in the hen's head had dissapeared. Meanwhile the tree nearby the water tank blossomed an identical bunch of red flower. The tree told every one about the kindness of the hen. Since then the tree has been called the tree of the cockscomb flower. And a new tiny comb has grown in the hen's head.
