The Sad Life of Pets

My heart breaks whenever I see that a pet's been abandoned by its owner. There are guys who buy a pet, bring it home make it think it'll be loved forever but after a while they become tired and ''get rid of'' it. What were they thinking? That their pet was a broken toy or a piece of...? No!!! It's alive. It sees, hears and feels pain and abuse like a human being.

To all of those people who do this:

But the poor pet ends up like this:

Do yourselves and those poor animals a favor; buy one of these instead:

Practice on them. You're not ready.

  • They sure are.

  •  When it comes to putting animals in cages not just pets but also in zoos, I feel like people who do this should try putting themselves in these animals' shoes for a try.  How would you feel being locked up all day, unable to roam free?  I always sense a gloominess in animals that are kept in a cage. Btw these are really cute toys! :)

  • Glad you like 'em, JET.

  • Sometimes people are just focused on their own selfish needs and desires and then they are completely unaware of the responsibilities that follows along with taking care of a pet.

    Well put, Evangelina.

  • Right...

  • ("eye for an eye")

    I'm down. Let's do it!

  • t's so sad to watch abandoned animals. That's why I don't agree when people give 'pet' as a present.

Totally, a pet ain't a pair of socks or an ugly sweater to throw away. Keeping 'em requires commitment.

  • I'm not a vindictive person and I don't like the law of Talion ("eye for an eye") But I just make an exception and that's when I see people hurting animals or kids (vulnerable creatures) I can't help but feeling anger and hope that whoever does such harm and torture, receives the same punishment.
