Many people have asked this question what is the most difficult language to learn. In that regard, many languages have been claimed to be the hardest language to learn, below are some candidates, for a good reason.
According to a UNESCO research, Chinese is the most difficult language in the world. Many factors make Chinese very difficult to learn. For example the characters (Hanzi) used in the writing system seem to be archaic and obscure. Every word is a different symbol and it's not phonetic so it gives you no clues as to how it is pronounced. The tone system also is a pain because Mandarin has four tones. One other reason is, Mandarin has a large number of homophones. For example, the pronunciation "shì" is associated with over thirty distinct morphemes. Some people try to learn this language for that specific reason, being difficult and different.
The second hardest language it's said is Greek; Arabic comes tightly after Greek. Icelandic is the fourth hardest language to learn because of its archaic vocabulary and complex grammar while Japanese is the fifth since the written code is different from the spoken code, therefore, you can't learn to speak the language by learning to read it, and vice versa. What's more, there are three different writing systems to master.
Finnish, German, Norwegian, Danish and French are among the most difficult languages.
There are also some other editions of the most difficult languages. Make your choice of what's the hardest language to learn after reading through this blog, you can also comment. [How many difficult languages can you speak in this list? ;-)]
Anyway, one thing is certain, no matter how hard a language is, you really need three things that are essential for learning it: adequate and appropriate learning resources, understanding of the way you learn, and passion of learning.

Sewar....I think you are correct. Add for these languages you mentioned below the EYE'S LANGUAGE
S1s sewar, what a v1ew! 1t's so true and also new. Language 1s a powerful tool, let alone true love or true fr1end's language. They need not only our pers1stence, but also our hearts to p1ck up and to learn them should be a l1fet1me target.
s1s n1da, yes, mother tongue or the language(may not be your mother tongue) of the household, neighborhood and school where you live your childhood and grow up 1s eas1er compar1ng to other languages. Qu1te a few of my cl1ents' k1ds speak ch1nese better than them.
That's true, bro seeker.
In my theory, the most difficult language to learn is; the language of true love. The language of true friendship comes after it, and least but not last the language of trust. Do you know why my Sweety?????? All the languages which are mentioned at your nice topic can be learned by special teachers, or by stay a wile at one of the countries which you want to learn its local language. But, the language of true love, or true friendship or trust couldn't be learned by any professional, and there is no home land for them. God bless you my little princess.
Yeah, I've heard so many times that Chinese is the most difficult language to learn. I agree with Seeker that the easiest language to learn is your mother tongue or the language(may not be your mother tongue) of the household, neighborhood and school where you live your childhood and grow up.
Thanks for this informative blog, Mickey. :)
