The Happiest Moment

Years ago, in my teenage, I was invited to visit a temple which was hidden in a big mountain together with several girls. Since I seldom go outing, I didn’t know what should I prepare, and I thought they would take care of me, so I started off without any preparation.

At the half hill, I felt so tired that when we stopped to rest I fell asleep, waking up only to find I was alone and lost. Worries wrapped me, and I had to walk along the road, in the hope of finding them. After a while, I felt very thirsty, but I had nothing to drink at all. It drove me crazy, I went into uneasy mood, and regretted not having preparation, with grunting “Mama, water; Mama, water; Mama, water…”

Then I began to lose control myself and started to sing and cry. Just then an uncle who rode a motorbike passed by and stopped near me.

“Anything I can help?”

“Water, I need water…” I was almost power off because of much thirsty

“But what I have is just beers, would you like some?”

“Beers? Oh dear, poor me! I never drink!” What a pity!

“Oh, good luck with you then” Said this, he was about to leave. I suddenly changed my mind, and slipped of my tongue “Beers? Sure!”

“But I wonder why did you sing while cry? Tell me and I give you beers” What a tricky uncle!

Somehow my mouth ran faster than my brain, “It’s a secret!”

Again he was leaving, I soon told him, “be-cau-se, because I was lost and too thirsty!”

“Oh?”

“So I wanted to attract people’s attention to ask help, then I can get water and find the way!”

He took out a tin of beer to me and I was so thirsty that grasped it as soon as I could, and drank it in a breath, finding he was laughing! All of a sudden, I came to life and blushed. While I looked down the ground to avoid embarrassing, I felt dizzy and vomited all I had drunk. Seeing this, he invited me to take a lift. Sitting on his motorbike, I murmured “What an awkward outing! I should have hidden in house~” He suddenly replied me, “outing is not that bad, but without preparation is” Soon I met my friends again, and I felt so happy and cried again…

When I got back home, my brain kept thinking this thing, and drew a conclusion from it: first, never be too dependent on others; second, Readiness is all; third, friendly people are everywhere; fourth, beers are ok, but make me vomit; fifth, the happiest moment of the trip was the moment I got rid of thirsty!

  • Uncle, dont worry so much! Girls are smart nowadays, they know what they should do and shouldnt do. And I think teenagers should start to explore the world by themself and gain experiences, that's good for growing~
