Are you a fan of classic literature? Why do I ask? 'Cause when it comes to it, folks can be divided into three categories:
A. Those who have read it.
 B. Those who pretend to have read it.
 C. Those who keep telling they’re gonna read it, but never do.
My hat is off to the first group, but to be honest, I can’t blame those who belong to B. and C. categories. After all, classic novels usually seem intimidating. War and Peace is over 1,400 pages, Don Quixote is close to 1000, and James Joyce’s Ulysses, while not quite as long, is, well, Ulysses!
The good news is, John Atkinson, a cartoonist, has kindly reduced such literary behemoths to just a handful of words. Let's take a look, shall we? If you don't belong to A. camp, then beware, spoiler alert!

I do too, but the constant change of scenes; like you're in friggin' Broadway are annoying as hell. When I wanna see a movie, I wanna see a movie, not an imitation of an Off-Off-Broadway show.
Sorry, I love drama.
"do NOTwatch the movie" ---> TOO LATE!!!!!!! >.<
Why on earth would I judge you? At least you're trying. And, by the way, those dramatic leavings while you're "slamming doors"; are a cry for help. Anna Karenina, good choice. Hey, do NOTwatch the movie. I did, I had a severe headache for two freakn' hours!
Few months ago I read "Anna Karenina" and I loved it so much. I got hooked on the story and I finished the book in just a week. After that, I got a kind of overexcitement feeling about reading all the Tolstoy's books, so the next book I started was "War and Peace". At the moment, I've just read the 3 first pages... It's been 3 months from that... But I'm very busy now! I don't have time for reading! ...Don't judge me!!!!
*leaves slamming the door... again*
Do you think I need to add a new category, noaslpls? Hmm. I don't think so. But thanks for your clarification anyway. E. M. Forster, huh? Not bad.
Gotcha. Very well, Estanis, I definitely won't.
My sweet Adaline!
Bravo!
Happy learning!
Dearest setareh,
Well, I'm glad it made an impact. I'm sure you can read them whenever you want. As Nike says," Just do it!"
Hat is off= is used when someone has done great job.
intimidate= frighten
Correct! Well done, my dear!
You're absolutely right. Atkinson is a cartoonist and these guys have a unique sense of humor. They can't help it, you know?
I guess I fell in between Group A and Group C. I managed to read some of those classic books or books written by those authors, but I can't read War and Peace or The Odyssey, for examples, even though I've been trying to read them for years. I've downloaded some of other classic novels, and slowly reading them. My pet project/novel at the moment is A Room With A View.
