Four lines conversations 2

 Contradiction
A: I will sell this sword which can break through any shield.
B: I will sell this shield which can't be broken through by any sword.
C: Which man says the truth? The two are contradictory.

 Groundless Fear
A: I can't sleep well every night because I am worried.
B: What do you worry about?
A: I worry that the moon may fall onto my house while sleeping.
B: Oh, it's a groundless fear.

 Particle
A: I ate a chicken for dinner yesterday.
B: Really? It means that you ate a whole chicken. If you ate chicken meat, you must say I ate chicken or I ate a piece of chicken.
A: Really? What's the difference.
B: Animals are countable nouns, but when they are processed into food, they become uncountable nouns.

  • OMG, are you serious, KITTY??? Is it possible? Maybe your bed is to small? How is it happening?

  • Rys, you are right as always! I was under effect of compote... But it is not alcohol drink! :)

  • How is it possible to lose the bed while sleeping?

  • To Kitty Thank you for your comment. Yes, it is a well-grounded fear.

  • Oi there,

Wonder if Roman commenting my comment was under the effect of compote or other local beverage??? ;)

  • :)

  • To  Roman Thank you for your comment. Your imagination is nice. I hear a few people have seen the singing pink train come through in front of them. It may not be a groundless fear, hehehe.

  • Hi, Tam! Sometimes the difference between unbreakable and breakable can be so small, that in case when someone will help the sword to make it's hit. This help can overcome the difference between unbreakable and breakable... You can say "But in this case someone can help to defend the shild" But it can be to late... Because they will start to helping after seeing that hit was made...

Groundless fear... The moon is not the best example for it:) I'd better say "I am afraid that come pink singing train and cross through me, despite I am lying in my bed on the 38 Floor of skyscrapper..."

I wonder, why or how Rys didn't mention some English alcohol drink, instead of chicken :)

Thank you for sharing, Tam! Your blogs are always creative and interesting!
