This one article is really interesting as it poses a difficult question about personal etiquette or the lack of it. If someone beside you started coughing onto the food laid out on the buffet table, what would you do?
It was one of those rare times that my parents asked me to join them for a breakfast buffet in a posh five star hotel serving buffet meals prepared by the Mandarin Hotel chefs.
As they were required to undergo overnight 12 hour mandatory fasting before being examined for their annual comprehensive checkup, my Mom called me up to join them for breakfast Sunday morning around 9AM since the breakfast buffet was only available till 10:30 in the morning.
The 5-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel is famous for its daily sumptuous buffets served in breakfast, lunch and dinner sets patronized by its loyal clients. And every meal I've participated in this business class hotel was definitely a gourmet experience.

AS much as I can, I rarely eat out too. But there are so many great foods out there to explore and to stimulate the palate. So when you do go on a gastronomic adventure, just make sure that the presented food were prepared under hygienic circumstances. :)
