Following is my submission on Onee Chan's motivation.
It was a long time ago when I was looking for a job. One of my relatives asked me to visit his house to talk about this how could he help me. He directed me how to reach his house which was situated in a locality of lower middle class where all the houses were on the roadside. I reached the area and started to count down the houses to find the one where he lived. I saw a house which looked to be very similar as I was told and at once raise the curtain and entered the house………………but stopped and shocked to see some ladies in the room who were looking at me suspiciously with wide opened eyes in panic. I entered the wrong house. That was a very awkward situation for me because it is not considered a good manner to enter a house like I did. I got nervous and before they start shouting, I stammered for their forgiveness and told them the whole misunderstanding. Those were the most embarrassing moments of my life, because if there were any men in the house…………………...you can imagine my condition! Seeing them softened I at once paced backward and ran out.

You were lucky indeed.:) you could get a pan on your head. :) Some signs represent female and male.Their style can be different. Moreover, sometimes you can be confused and enter wrong side(female toilette).As i did once, luckily lady understood and told me this is woman side by smiling.I excused with panic and got out of there. After that event i always look if there is a pissoir or not even i enter men side. Because only men can use that tool and you are sure of being right place. :)

Kiya karega Mishaikh sahib? This is life. We meet the good moments and the bad ones. I hope we never fall into embarrassing situation like that.

While visiting such places like airport, and/or other entertainment places I carefully check the sign for men restroom. Sometimes it is very confusing when there is only one restroom to be used by male or female turn by turn.

In visiting another country I had a similar mistake at the airport. I was busy protecting my bags and entered the women toilet. There was similar reacting from those waiting inside. It was my own faulty attention and I left quickly with no more thought about using toilets. I went very quickly to to another area and removing my jacket, tried to look like a different fellow.
Yes Оlga I really have learned lesson by the incident, even here in USA it is considered the violation of a privacy.
The situation you have mentioned is even more embarrassing.
