Day 6 : Go to Prague, Czech Republic
We spent about four hours driving from Berlin to Prague. The weather on that day in Berlin was a little cold and cloudy. We still kept taking photos on the way to Prague.
streets of Berlin
on the Autobahn
When we were near the border between Germany and Czech Republic
, we saw lots of white object covered the grass? A kind of white flowers? Oh, no. It's snow. I couldn't believe my eyes as I saw the real snow. I was so excited and moved because it was my first time to touch it.
Before entering the freeway of Czech Republic, we had to pay a toll then sticking the receipt on the windshield of the car.
It was quite pretty that pines wearing white clothes.
streets of Prague
The trash cans are colorful.
As we walked through here for our dinner, we would like to cross the street but didn't find where the zebra crossing is, so we decided to cross a place where we thought would be OK. Unfortunately, something happened since then. When we had crossed to the opposite side of the street, we saw two police men walking toward us and soon stopped us. They said "Don't you know here you can't cross the street. It's very dangerous you don't walk through the zebra crossing, and you would be fined the top of penalty of 2,000 KC (it's about US$137.- ) for each person. Give me your passport! " And the next, one of them wrote down my passport no. and asked us a series of questions including where are you from, how did you come here and are you from China? We did reply their doubts genuinely one by one. They insisted that we had to pay by their currency for that, but we told we didn't exchange any before arriving. After they discussed for a while and then came to a compromise of paying them 4,000KC(US$275 or so) for four people. We got extremely nervous and had no idea how to do that because it was tricky. Thankfully, they might find us innocent being a tourist at our first day there, finally they warned us not to do the same like that next time, or else we would really get in trouble. A good lesson we learned from that. Since then, we all followed the rule as policemen said. So, be careful everything as possible as we can especially travelling over the other countries is always a must. If you had this kind of experience of facing difficulties, please do share it with us.
In Prague, there are a lot of policemen we could see in front of the National museum. The forbidding atmosphere of it is quite different from Holland and Germany.
The two real models were demonstrating the clothing in the window.
the area of Old Town
A lot of souvenirs of marionette and crystal you can find here and there.
It's one of the attractions you can't miss.
The clock was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world and the only one still working. (from Wikipedia)
The building on the right side is Church of Our Lady before Týn.
Gothic architecture
We had our dinner near the church.
vegetarian meal (potato and asparagus)
The baked duck meal is one of famous dishes in Czech Republic.
(thumbs up)

Hello Syubi,
Thanks again for reading my post.
Although Taiwan has four seasons, I seldom go to top of some mountains to see snow. Only some of certain areas of mountains would have snow. What about you in Jakarta?
For the real models, well.. I guess it might depend on that man who got tired with that position. I saw him wearing a rigid smile when he kept this pose for a while. Poor him!
Right, it is smoked salmon on the top of salad.
That sounds a good idea to read a book or watching people in front of attractive place. But, be careful that policeman would not get you some troubles.
For the clock, it's a complicated and precise clock with many functioins. Please see the picture below, you will figure out its detail. ( I admire your spirit of learning things. You are a good model for me, thank you.)

Heheh nice... Again wonderful pictures ^^ Loved it.
Grace, you have never seen a snow before? How come? :S I thought Taiwan has four seasons..
For the roads pictures at Prague.. Wow, that road is empty compare to roads in Jakarta :p It would be nice to ride a bike in that road.
About those real models, for how long do they have to pose like that? lol
Hmm, food again :D I would love to taste that duck, yum yum. Looks compromising, I can see that you gave your thumbs up there. For the salad, what are those reds in the plate? Fish?
For the clock, there are two circles there. What for is the second circle, the one above the clock which shows numbers? Is that for showing the month we are in or what?
I would love to be here, read a book and see the sunsets or just watching people pass me by :)
No, I didn't go to see that exhibition. Where does that be hold in usually? Forget-me-Not.
Hi Anita,
I am not sure if what you mean of the pig's knee is the same as pork shank. We had pork shank in Koln and Berlin. They are tasty but different than ours in Taiwan. The skin of pork shank here is soft and flexible. Yeah, me too. No one can resist its beauty. Thanks for the comment.
Hi Yoh,
Exactly, if there is no delicious food included in a trip, I suppose myself wouldn't join it.
It was a precious opportunity for me travelling to these countries, I guess I wouldn't be exhausted even by the day 16 because those stunning secenery gives me much energy to keep it up too. ^_^
Hi Grace,
Thank you for sharing all beautiful pictures! I'm impressed by your energy to travel long distances and take a lot of pictures. Weren't you exhausted by the day 6?? Maybe those delicious dishes kept you alive and going ^_^
Hello Antuan,
I'm so glad you liked the dishes very much. That means the chef who may know what you like in advance. ^_^ Thanks a lot for the nice comment.
