Day 4 :  Go to Berlin, east part of Germany

Before we went to Germany, my cousin went to gas station first becuase we would spend six to seven hours driving from Eindhoven of Holland to Berlin of Germany. I couldn't believe when I saw the price of gas was €1.829 per liter on the day. It is almost two times cost of the gas price in Taiwan. Now I know why cars of Europe always emphasize that one of their functions is saving fuel.

You have to fuel by yourself here. It's quite different than Taiwan.

For the long distance driving, we couldn't do any things but sleeping and taking photos. On the way to Berlin, there are a lot of yellow flowers of rape along the freeway. It could be used to make oil or biofuel. The other advantage of it for tourists is to enjoy its beauty decorating on the ground.

Clouds and sky are lovely too.

The U-Bahn in Berlin looks quite old. It is not new or very modern but clean inside of it.

The carriages are roomy and windows are all sticked with labels of Brandenburg Gate.

We had our dinner here, where is like a pub or something. Inside of the restaurant is not bright but lighting with white candles.

German Pork- the skin of pork is crispy and meat is soft.

Each of meal is quite big or huge for us, espeically for girls. So you may share it with two people. I couldn't finish it by myself only.

  • For people living in Aisa, I think it's colder than here in south part of China owing to its high latitude. As I was in Holland and Berlin, I found there was no difference between them, only as I was in Prague, the weather is colder than those two countires.
  • Nice... so the landscape were full of this flowers? Beautiful view ^^
  • Hello Syubi,

It's kind of flower or vebetable. Here we also have it cook to be a dish. It's quite delicious even without any sauce. Please take a look at the picture below.

  • Yea Grace, I agree with Nida. I wouldn't dare to close my eyes because I don't want to miss a single thing. The scenery indeed looks prety. I love the second picture the most, the color is so pretty: bright blue sky, green plants, and yellow (?).

  • @ Artur

Glad to know you liked my trip and thanks for the dropping by. Have a nice day.

  • @ Yoh

Sure, we did have local beer when we were in Berlin, Praha and Koln. The best one is in Koln.

Please don't forget to try it when you visit there next time. Thank you for the comment. :)

  • The dishes make me crave for some beer! Didn't you try German local beer?

The colors of flowers in Holland were breathtaking, and now you enjoy gorgeous yellow. Lucky you!!

  • @Nida

I had the same feeling as yours on that time. Sleeping on the car is wasting time, especially when you are travellling. But, sometimes my eyes are out of control .... hahaa..

  • Wow Grace, these pictures are more than wonderful; I wish I were there with you! ^_*

Thank you so much for sharing them with us. By the way, how did you sleep while traveling? I mean scenery is so beautiful that if I were you, I wouldn't even blink my eyes!!
