Sitting in the balcony, bathing the bright shine and looking at the mountain far away, a light smile suddenly appeared on Milan’s lips. She thought of the other day and the surprise, happiness arose from the bottom of her heart...

Milan lives with dad and grandma since she was 7 years old after dad and mum divorced. In her memory, she just knows mum is a pretty woman. Grandma doesn’t tell her much about her beautiful mum, and she dares not to ask her dad either, so “that woman” in their mouths is a riddle for Milan. As time goes by, she also grows into a beauty, even more beautiful than her mum. Seeing dad adds years to life and still live a single life, somehow she feels hurt and sorry. Though no one else can take the place of her mum’s position in her heart, but as she grows up, she finds she can’t be so selfish and see dad live a tough life. So she encouraged dad to remarry another woman, and she even asked grandma to persuade dad. Finally dad agreed with her, and started to date with other women.

One weekend, she was at home doing some reading, dad suddenly called her to make the room and doll up herself. She knew clearly, that dad would take the special woman to her home. She felt happy but a bit upset as well. Having prepared all things well, she took out an old picture from her bedroom quietly, in which she was smiling innocently and happily with both dad and mom. “Those days will never come back”, she let out a sigh. Soon she put it away and put on a friendly smile on her beautiful face. Hardly when she went out of her bedroom did she hear the doorbell. She became so nervous and many butterflies in her stomach that it took her a long time to pace to the door. Once she opened the door, she soon turned back and almost ran to her bedroom. Somehow tears ran down rapidly and she couldn’t control them at all.

“Milan~ Come out, let me introduce our new family member to you!” She felt so complicated, but she knew she had to go out, or she may hurt both her dad and the woman. So wiped off tears on her face, she walked slowly to the parlor. Seeing that woman…Oh Gosh! She couldn’t even believe her eyes, and her mouth was wide open, tears came out overwhelmingly again. She has almost the same face with herself! Milan was in a daze until the woman hugged her in the arms and kept saying sorry. “Mum! Why do you come home so late?” in a poor voice, Milan cried like a baby…
