Everybody has a different taste when it comes to clothes. Some prefer a fine tailor-made suit or dress while others like the good ol' jeans and T-shirts.
Most of the time, when classy gets into mind, I think of the whole persona of a well dressed guy. Since what you wear is who you are. Not the brand kind of thing, but the style of clothes you wear on a daily basis. I mean, people are free to wear whatever they like, but there’s a fine line between classy and trashy.
Clothes can define you – at least this is what I believe in. The type of clothes you wear plays with the mood you have for the day. It can make you look confident or messy. The first thing that we notice while meeting someone for the first time is their clothes, Point being, You gotta dress to impress, right?
Once again, it is a matter of taste and everybody is entitled to their opinion about what they wear, but who doesn't want to look classy?
What do you think? Classy; yay or nay?

Dear setareh you are completely right. My main argument here is that I prefer to wear suitable clothes and if they are not based on the latest fashion trends, as the above pictures, then so be it. I do not like only black attire either,as you can see the Italian gentleman's suit is neither gray nor black. :) Thanks for your lovely comment.
so sweet,thank you.
Nice touch. You made my day.
Respect!
Of course you can join us dear Danny! The more, the merrier:)
Regarding your question, I present to you this picture:
He's not a diplomat, an ambassador, or a politician. He's just a simple umbrella maker, yet his outfit is appealing and the true definition of old school cool.
Batuhan,As I mentioned above, everyone's entitled to their opinion. I am not imposing mine, I'm just saying dressing down to earth is the way to go.
Always a pleasure dear Mary and regarding the 100 years part, WHY SO SERIOUS? :P
Well, here I like the 'classy' pictures, of course! (and Paul Newman's one mostly, his style was really good) and I agree that sometimes it's hard to get to understand the new fashion designers (some are too 'eccentric') But I respect the work of many fashion designers, because it's also an art field and a way to express yourself too (even tho I'm not into fashion myself; I just wear ordinary clothes mainly)
I find very interesting the clothing history. I've visited a couple of times The Museum of Costume in Madrid, where you can see a wide collection of clothes of major artistic and historical value from the most ancient times up to the present; and the most interesting thing is that you realize there how much has to do our clothes with our evolution as civilization, our society, our culture... It's like a time trip.
Who knows what people would think about our clothes and how was our society 100 years from now! (if still there is a planet Earth!)
A738a, thanks again for sharing an interesting topic here.
