Spooky creatures

But more wonderful than the lore of old men and the lore of books is the secret lore of ocean.

H. P. Lovecraft

He was right. The ocean is a secret, full of life and joy.If you ask me what is your first choice for taking a vacation to cool your head I would certainly say a long walk on the beach, while letting the wind whisper in your ears and the waves tickle your toes. The ocean is teaming with fascinating creatures from those friendly and joyful dolphins which greet you with their ridiculously adorable noise to those mean looking sharks which warn you do not mess with them. And the taletell sign is  their  good ol' fin indicating a red flag.

All in all, the ocean has been a safe haven for me from the mundane city life, until I saw these little fellas...

I like the second one by the way. It's kinda cute,:)

  • Maybe that's why some people want their ashes to be scattered in the see.

  • I like that about walking along the beach at sunset or sunrise, smelling the sea, listening to the waves... that's nice, of course. But I prefer the mountains, the woods, a lake... I'm living far from the sea, so when I feel like running away from the 'civilization', I go to walk in the woods.

Anyway, e. e. cummings made me like the sea more:

"(...) For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it’s always ourselves we find in the sea" ~ e. e. cummings
