    Hmmmm.... Yah, I noticed but the important here is the MESSAGE of the song try to understand every LYRICS of the song and it made you realized that the song is right.... and if you were able to watch the short clip video, you'll gonna smile because of the KID

    About your question, If I were not mistaken, Jackson sang this song as a tribute to Charlie Chaplin. It says there under Youtube comments:

    "The Kid" is one of my most favorite movies of all times. It is such a wonderful movie full of comedy, emotions and kindness.Where you can feel happiness and sadness side by side and where each tear is followed by a smile and each smile is followed by a tear.

    The acting was superb by both Charlie Chaplin and the little child who played the role of "the Kid".

    BTW, was this song a dedication from MJ to Charlie Chaplin or was just an inspiration?
