Two years back I went for an interview in Connaught Place. Connaught Place(CP) is one of the most popular place for shopping centers and commercial hub in Delhi. I had an interview on the 13th floor of the Vandana Building, Tolstoy Marg.
No employees has time in the morning hours to climb 13th floors to stay fit when all were already getting late for punching office card.
I entered the lift with ten more people.
The elevator after reaching a few height shuts down in between on the way to the thirteen floor, me and ten other strange people troubled.
It was complete dark no one could saw anyone face though, After waiting for 10 more seconds complete silence, some ladies in them started shouting, created panic for others too. Shouted Help! Help! Help!
I was calm thought of searching a way out to help me and others.
One of Males thought to call his friends and colleagues but the network was not there I was so very sure that the Security guard underneath was aware of our situation and might be doing something to help us.
I had a torch light on the top of my mobile I ON that to check if everybody was Ok !
One of the ladies had started crying, One said O GOD it was be more than an hour we blocked in a lift……………… I am Dying
All of us had fears in heart................................................
I prayed & said Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare -3 times.
And the elevator started working after a while I was so shocked my heart had given the credit to Krishna & Security Guard
We all came outside ladies & gents hugged each other shake hands, at time of trouble we all were together, then security guard came there he was sweating an elevator team was working there and finally helped us to came out …………….we all take a long breath and thanked GOD.
Then, I searched for the Company I had gone for an Interview. I was around more than one & half hour late for my interview meeting in the Company on 13th Floor. But it was surprisingly luckly for me to found that the HR Manager who had to take my interview was with me in the elevator. We laughed a lot seeing each other and he didn't asked why you came so late ?

i havent experienced this kind of trouble and i dont wnt to experinece it coz im a lil clausetrophobic, im scared of being locked in a small space especially when its dark inside. i also encountered being in the elevator alone, it really scares me coz im thinking of maybe theres a ghost with me there and im about to freak out then when it openned i barely ran out of it. hehehe!
I have also encountered the same issue but luckily light was on and security guard rectified the same within minutes…
BTW did you get the job?
