Some people wonder whether or not should we admit the “Copycat Culture” or to what extent should we make efforts to protect the original authority. However, I hold the view that it exists, there must be reasons for its existence.
　　Copycat productions benefit the masses a lot. After the appearing of copycat productions, gone was the old days that the masses had not enough money to buy the hi-tech digital productions. So exited are the masses when they can afford a cell-phone or a camera, even though it is a copycat one. It can also help to make full use of technology and make contributions to the spreading of digital productions.
　　Copycat productions offers more opportunities to the un-employers. All these copycat productions are manufactured by labor-intensive industries, where the un-employers can hunt a job here and fight for their means of existence. “Copycat Culture” can bring advantages to the country like ours.
　　Besides copycat productions, “Copycat Culture” includes many other aspects, like copycat movie, copycat star, copycat show, or copycat of A Dream in Red Mansions etc. In 2010, some people sent out a letter of challenge to the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, claiming that they are preparing for a simulated gala, inviting the folk top man to perform, which is to be broad casted through the internet along with the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. What surprised most is that the Shanzhai Spring Festival Gala won almost the same popularity with the CCTV gala. From this case, we can learn that the “Copycat Culture” is the folk culture, which is appealed to the large grassroots. People can gain more sense of happiness through a stimulated gala than the main-streamed gala.
　　Culture can not be divided into “Copycat Culture” or main-streamed culture. “Copycat Culture” is active, healthy, optimistic and welcomed by the masses, which is bringing us back to the grassroots relationship and back to our nature. Time has already proved all of you that there should be necessities for the existence of “Copycat Culture”.
