My English Club! So many pleasant words can be said, so many pleasant emotions to be described…!!I was looking for websites for English learners for a long time when one day I visited MyEC (as a guest ) and thought “Why not sign up?” ( I do not remember the date because I didn’t pay much attention to this event in my life but I know for sure it was about 9 months ago ). So I signed up…unfortunately I failed to see the variety of opportunities this club could give to me to improve my English and didn’t visit it at all after signing up (okay may be I lied a little bit because I did visit it once or two times but remained idle). I didn’t find MyEC interesting then and only now I understand how blind I was and how much time I wasted ) .So I forgot my password and forgot about MyEC completely. I spent all my time in one chat room on another website. Here’s a picture to represent me when I signed up for the first time :So that’s how I can describe my first encounter with MyEC….I just peeped in casually….staying aloof and being reluctant. The second attempt…Well, it was like a trial for my patience… (it was about 5 weeks ago ). It was funny… I decided to come back to My EC only because I wanted to help my friend. As I’ve told you I forgot my password and as I deleted my previous email address 6 months ago and got another one I couldn’t resume the access to my profile at MyEC. I decided to sign up again with a different nick but… not so easy, it was just the beginning of my punishment for “abandoning” MyEC before. I signed up …the message “Your profile is waiting for approval” became very familiar to me (and very irritating) because I tried to sign up like for 5 times…but in vain.I almost gave up the idea of coming back to this club but as I’m a very stubborn and persistent girl and as I was outraged then ( filling in the same information 5 times is not very enjoyable)… I just couldn’t leave MyEC so easily. As a result I stopped being lazy and strained my brains … “I should remember that unfortunate password”, thought I (unfortunate here is an euphemism for one slang word …I was very angry). Some vague memories started clearing up in my mind…yes…I saw it so clearly…that password! Here is a short history: I signed in, changed my email and password and became a valid member of this wonderful club ( it was almost 3 weeks ago). That’s how it all began…I mean my addiction to MyEC of course .Here is another picture to show you how I felt when joined this club once again and started participating in the life of this community:Exactly…a beautiful whirlpool…I came nearer- and drowned, drowned in a wonderful world of knowledge and experience, learning and fun, friendship and love: love for English , love for learning and teaching, love for life. What was my goal of joining this club? To tell you the truth at first I was looking for fun , I just wanted to meet people from different countries and have a friendly chat. I didn’t believe that a membership in an English club could help me to improve (I’m hard-headed sometimes and I was strongly convinced that nobody could help me to improve unless I wanted it myself) only now I admit that I was badly mistaken. I was surprised because this time I found MyEC unusually interesting though I had a fight in the chat room the first day…you know it happens sometimes: a petty misunderstanding leads to a big argument but that’s how you learn – you live and experience. During these 2 weeks and 6 days I enjoyed every hour spent here at MyEC. I can proudly declare that I improved my English and found lots of friends who help me and buck me up all the time. It’s a great club to help you to develop, to develop like a personality, like a teacher and like a student. By the way, for the first time in my life I started writing short poems (owning to Mr. Night of course) and I should say it’s very exciting and relieving to pour out your thoughts and feelings with the help of your pen and I’m thankful to this club because I met so many nice and talented people here. I was surprised when I asked some members for help and they didn’t refuse, they wasted their time on me and did it with pleasure and I’m thankful to them. I can find all the information I need at this club and it’s very easy to learn and cultivate my knowledge with teachers and my friends encouraging me.Well, that’s how I feel now at MyEC:Comfortable like at home because it became my family, a big friendly family. My English Club is a rich source for self-perfection self-development and self-knowledge just don’t fail to catch it!
Thank you for sharing the story. I like the way you are and the way you think. Last night i have chatted with my friend here. They are good and kind to help me to improve my English skill. I think I am falling in love with this club. Have a nice weekend deuce666 ^^
