Nowadays, we have bigger houses and smaller families,More comforts but less time,More degrees but less common sense,More knowledge but less judgement. We have more experts and more problems, more medicines and less health,We waste money extremely, laugh not too much and drive too fast,We get angry so easily, read very little, watch too much T.V. Whatsapp or internet, yet we don't reflect on.We have greatly increased our possessions, although reduced our values,We speak too much, love so few and lie often,We have learned to earn a living, but not to live, have added years to life but not life to years,We have more high buildings but shorter temperament, wider highways but narrow purposesWe spend more but have less, buy more and enjoy it less,We went to the moon but it's hard to cross the street to greet our neighbour,We conquered the outer space but not the inner one, learned to hurry but not to wait,We have more incomes but not more moral,We build more and more computers to keep more and more information but we have less communication, more entertainment but less fun, more sort of food but less nutrition, two incomes but more divorces, amazing houses but broken homes.Life is a chain of happy moments, not all is survival. Wear your best suit and do not keep your best parfum, use it every time you want and feel.DO NOT LET YOUR LIFE BECOMES A CONTINUOUS PARADOX.
Yes, achievements don't guarantee our happiness at all.
Anyway what I meant is that everyone should find a way to balance development without loosing our values or principles. Sometimes it's a difficult task.
Lol! Thanks for that. Btw, sometimes I kill my sorrows like that too hahaha... Yeah, it works!
I'll rise up more this rule in my preference list. I envy your firm ideas, keep them up.
I just wanted to share some words I read and that made me be aware of the world we're living in.
Btw, I see we long the same : ) Let's just search wisely and be patient.
Thanks my friend for dropping by. Wish you the best.
Yeah, actually I've read two of his books and admit I like them a lot since they help me to see situations from a different angle. As I've said some times, I also like reading blogs here about religion because I learn from them too. At the end, I think all we search the same although with different ways.
I believe that desire for self improvement is good for our own development and surely is in our human nature, but some grey days you ask yourself 'why for?' 'Is it really need for me to be happy?' Do I have to demonstrate anything to anyone?' Do my current problems come from here?' It's then when you deal with an inner fight and resolve that maybe priorities have to be changed.
Anyway a human life has its cicles depending on our age and it's a matter of adapting to every cicle we're living.
Thank you for reply and your advise : )
