Seeker's activity / Time management

It's hard to believe, but it seems like it was just yesterday when I went out with my friends after doing my homework every evening. Play station and mobile phones were about to appear but we enjoyed biking around the town or playing football in the street.-"I want you here when the street lamps light up" my mother used to shout me haha... yes, I still didn't wear any watch. What a good feeling when I got home soaked to the skin or muddy, who cares about rain when you have to play the football championship of your neighbourhood?Time seems to be endless in this age. But in some moment of the life our naivety and simplicity start to vanish. Who to blame? Of course no one, it's just a matter of life although surely our society (media, environment, competitiveness, teachers, even parents...) make this process speed up.Everything seems to tell you to manage your time to be the best architect, the best engineer, the best business owner... and suddenly it comes a point when you ask yourself O.K. I got it, I got the dream everyone / everything asked me to become, and now?...and the answer is... and now it's too late. Too late to recover the lost time doing the things you really liked, too late to recover that girl who went you mad, too late to recover the life you enjoyed, maybe too late to realise that things you love are not so expensive or hard to get.Now you're not only married to your wife but also to "your dream" wich you struggle not to become a nightmare...Time wrapped you in an spiral from which is difficult to escape and the best we can do is to re-learn how to manage our time at this point and instilling our kids the main values that in our opinion will make them enjoy their lifes.

  • Hi my talkative friend! :)

Well, experience is a rank in itself so I've learned not to frustrate myself too much when I can't get anything. I'd say that now I'm carried along by the wind haha...

That's it, the circle of life. You well said.

Btw, you'll have to work harder to annoy me.
  • My Czech friend, we're on the very prime of life :)
    Yep, we're lucky.
  • Estanis, come on... m the same age like you, I guess :D btw I want to add that I also had to go back home when they turned on the street lamps! It was awesome to grow up in such era!
  • Dear Setareh,

So did I set high standards?? Lol... I might should have been a writer hehe...

I see you had a cheerful childhood too, I'm so glad this made you remind it, and obviously our kids must learn by themselves too, life is their great teacher.
  • Hi Lucy,

Wow... Another cat! I,m glad too that you liked the short story of 'my friend'.
Ah! Thank you for your compliments also.

Btw, wise doesn't always mean old ;)
  • My friendly cat,

    I guess we're a lot in the same boat. That's life! :)

Once I finished the writing, I read it and realised that it has a touch of negative attitude or wistfulness, it was not my intention so I hope you don't misunderstand me haha...
Thank you Noaslpls for dropping by.
  • Dear Estains, wow! great job! it was definitely one of the great blogs that i have read so far. You wrote every single word from the bottom of your heart and therefore it went straight into my heart. It reminded me of all my childhood running, playing ball with girls; it was wonderful. We will be happy to show our kids how not to do our mistakes but sometimes they want to experience everything on their own and we can not help it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful post. Big like.:)

  • C'mon Mary!

Don't try to make me blush! You know I'm so sensitive and I'm not used to these kind of compliments or being clapped.

Anyway I'm grateful for having such an active neighbor here :)
  • Dear friend Adaline,
I like your quote. So true. Sadly we learn it a bit late. Glad that you liked these few words of mine :)
