Radio

Well, what is said is fulfilled.

Today I'm happy. How come? Easy, first: chatting with M. my friend in heart, second: joking with O., H-dg, Dr ll, and third: some entries in "education means..." discussion. Adding fourth: an extra day off (yes, today is a day off for me-) and fifth: some work do it.

Thus, I'm still get dressed with the bathrobe all day quiet, smiling and beaming, sometimes laughing, grinning like a Chesire cat, smirking, glad, pleased, delighted, cheerful, cheery, merry, joyful, jovial, jolly, gleeful, untroubled, in good spirits, lighthearted, pleased, content, satisfied, gratified, buoyant,

also radiant, sunny, blithe, joyous, beatific, thrilled, elated, exhilarated, ecstatic, blissful, and euphoric,

of course overjoyed, exultant, rapturous, in seventh heaven, on cloud nine, jumping for joy over the moon (as ever), on the top of my head, tickled pink, as happy as a clam;–)

Iin conclusion, in a good mood walking on air.

And now fullfilled again after din, what more could I want to? nothing except a little gift for my friends.

Do you remember that famous program? In NY city from 1938 until 1940 (wikipedia says).

I'm not even a project in those times, but when I was a child  –30 years later or more – I knew the world without television, yes yes, without.

In those times the only way to know something outside your house were the radio. On the radio you could hear the propaganda of our dictatorship. Also, so many theatre actors lent their voices to make theater on the air (later they've passed to the TV which was in Black & White!) and there, on the radio, you could hear classic and modern author works (of course the dictatorship controled the radio).

Well, in other countries, other actors had  been made other experiments on the radio. This is my (I hope) suprise for all, although you should have a good listening level. If you don't understand almost nothing  - as me -  don't worry, keep safe the link. It'll be a pleasure in the future, I'm sure.

TATACHAAANN!! (music master, please–)

The Mercury Theatre on the Air

Dracula, the Treasure Island, Thirty Nine Steps, The Man Who Was Thursday, The Inmortal Sherlock Holmes, Heart of Darkness,..., and the famous, well known, prominent, popular; renowned, noted, eminent, distinguished, esteemed, celebrated, respected, illustrious, acclaimed, great, legendary, lionized...

WAR OF THE WORLDS

With Orson Wells and his friends, broadcasted on October 30, 1938 (wikipedia says again).

If you are so younger to understand why is so prominent, please, take a look at pictures of those times on the internet, as well music and singers, and put your feet in those years, then, turn on your loudspeacker and swicht off your screen. Sound, only sound. It's incredible. Who need the TV box?

Hope you can enjoy!

P.S. Promised, the next will be a short one!–)

  • Try to use Real Audio Player: http://uk.real.com/realplayer, it's free. Easy to download, easy to use.
Tell me, please, if you can use it.
    Yours

  • It is an awesome skill J, not everyone has this skill beside everyone has their own style of writing and this is your style.

Hmm J, I cannot open the real audio file. There were only two choices to dowloand "A Passenger to Bali" whether in real audio file or Checksum :S Well, I will listen to another record then.

Hehe, that fable from Aesop? Yes, I heard and read that too. Do you know that they have a group here who ask for the member to read Aesop's fable and record their reading? Try it J

  • Hehehehe Just I've heard "The Huntsman And The Fisherman", an Aesop's fable on the right side of your page!) Do I need to follow the advice? NO!-P I COULD NOT!\=D
  • ;-)Thanks Syubi and M., but is not an awesome skill, the merit is of my dictionary, diving inside their pages, of some friends which teach me different ways to express myself better,..., at least, a way to learn more, new words and variants. I use it here as a way to learn & share, maybe all of us could connect a few of its with words well known, maybe not, who knows who has the patience to read it?
On the other hand,if I want to learn -the aim is to be fluent, isn't it?- what can I do except write and write, trying to get the words and expressions from the top of my head without any hesitation?-)
My daughter says I'm wrong trying to write long sentences, "English people use short ones, papa"-)but I like it!
    It's time to share, one of the human's kind way to be more human, that's right? Are both agree? I'm selfish I know, I want ALL your skills, ALL your knowledge in this language, what can I do if it's not to share my records? Anyway, maybe this fact worth another post%~}
About Real Audio, I'm not sure if your WM could read it, I'm not using Windows, but you can use the mp3 version -is there, isn't it? or, am I wrong?- or perhaps download Real Player and use it instead W.Media, I think it's better but as you want. Checksum -I could be wrong- is use it to know if you have got the same file, without any change, comparing two files, size, header and so.
I'm so sorry because I'm afraid I can' put here the proper R. Audio Player link, look at the Internet, I'm sure you won't have any problem, but tell me,please, if you have it.-)
  • Hahah, nice J!! I enjoy reading it, this one is so alive even you use a lot of difficult word there :p

And there, you wrote two paragraphs in more than 10 lines to simply saying that you are in a good mood :D Awesome skill :p

And again, you have found another interesting link. I checked on it and got interested to hear "A passenger to Bali". I clicked real audio and it is downloading now while I am writing this comment. I am not sure if I can play it with Windows Media Player so I tried to clicked checksum but the link is broken :S

Lol, one more thing. Nice initial, I always laugh when I saw your initial. This one looks cute ;)
