Protector/Hostage-Taker

A police officer has the duty to protect and serve his/her country, to obey and enforce the law, maintain peace and order and to take all necessary steps to ensure public safety and to protect and safeguard the citizens of his/her country and whoever set foot on that land.It is sad to say that because of a case filed in the Office of the Ombudsman against one of the senior police inspector of our country, he held as hostages the more or less 25 Chinese tourist. He was so desperate that he was being dismissed from his position because of the case. He embarked on the bus at around 10:00 o'clock this morning and take the passengers as his hostages. In the middle of the negotiation, the hostage taker got angry when his fellow policemen arrested his brother, who brought a letter from the Ombudsman for him to read, after alighting the bus. He started firing at the hostages. The assault team cordoned the bus after the driver got out from it and informed them that the hostages were all dead. The team successfully ended the hostage crisis by putting a bullet to the hostage- taker. There are hostages who got out alive but some are already dead. The hostage drama ended at around 8:00 to 9:00 o'clock in the evening. This event is very disappointing. The police officer is supposedly our protector who will defend us from all harm and not the destroyer of our life.
