Yesterday I was reading the story written by Darius in the chat room. It was a fantastic story of an elephant. It motivated me to apply the same concept on broader aspects. Let me put the different narratives first.

American - Its a Uni-polar world, and we American have the great responsibility to maintain peace and order for the welfare of all countries. If any country or organization threat peace than its our obligation to deal with it with consensus or unilaterally if required.

Results of this narrative - Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Libya, ISIS, containment theory, conflict with China etc

Russian - We want peace, we believe in social justice. We are a great race and happened to be a super power. We are deceived by the American (NATO actually). And we are suffering because of it, till today. We wont fall into any trap this time. And will fight for the rights of Russians and Russian speaking people.

Result - Trust deficit, annexation of Crimea, Ukraine problem, Economic slowdown, Euro zone Crisis, tension in eastern Europe.

Chinese - We had a great civilization and we are rising again. We are trying to get what belongs to us but we do not understand why neighboring countries call it Chinese aggression. We have the largest population and we should have a great deal of share in world resources like Eastern china sea, Southern china sea, Askin chin, Arunachal Pradesh. We do not believe in democracy and we are doing good without it.

Result - Problem of Tibet (Dalali Lamha), Xinjiang, East China sea island's fight with Japan, claiming on oil reserves of south china sea, verbal battle with Vietnam, Philippians, South Korea, Taiwan. Hong Kong demand of democracy.

European - We have fought war with each other for some 200 years. Now we got the eternal truth. In a war no one is victorious. Only losers. We pledge that we wont fight any far on our land. But if a war does not fall on our land and does not affect us very much than we can provide arm and ammunition support to others. Religion should be separated from state policies. Liberty, freedom of expression etc matter too much

Result - NATO operations, Eurozone formation, European Union, a strong voice of all countries. People with fundamental Islam find secular wrong. Strong arms industries.

Islamic Narrative - Whole world is made by Allah and we all are devotee to that almighty. Basically shariyat laws should be applied everywhere and Quaran should be taught to all. Western liberal ideas are dangerous to society. And thing that is wrong, we should fight against it on the name of Jihad.

Result - Rise of Islamic fundamentalism, Many foreign (esp US and NATO) got opportunities to intervene in domestic situation. Over emphasis on religion results in more sectarian wars of Shia's and Sunnis etc.

African - We are yet to find our narrative, but out problems are different then rest of the world. We are poor, illiterate, destitute. The rise of Islamic fundamentalism is a problem for us as well.

Result - Somalia problem, Sudan, Libya, Ebola, poverty, Chaos...

Israel Narrative - Palestine land belongs to Jews. Jews are not treated well all across the world so we created this nation for the our community. We wont tolerate any treat against us. And crush all those who will even try to go against us.

Result - Unrest in Middle east, Palestinian problem, Fundamentalism in Jews.

Indian - Being an Indian I know its not easy to write Indian problem on a piece of paper. But here are the prominent ones. Self interest is the only interest of ours. We do everything peacefully, but not quite sure about results. Our society is the oldest civilization, and full of internal contradictions.

Result - Caste, class, religion fault lines, but Indian-ness still exists and thriving. There are internal differences but yet similarities are more than those differences. Kashmir and China problems are old problems. A rising country and neutral on most issues.

I will be discussing the decision taken by these power houses on the name of these narratives in coming future.

  • urw, Tav.
I'm gonna check it out as soon as I'm free from STUDYING ;)

  • Thanks Eslam for this detailed review. I have replied you in my next post. You should read it and I look forward to know your views on those issues and explanation I gave.

  • A detailed review of that significant post of urs :

First of all, ur way of expressing ur opinion is very neat and understandable, so that's a point for u.
Secondly, u stated and discussed some V.I. issues, each of which is considered a part of the whole picture of ur wolrd nowadays.
But ur way of handling each one of those issues was very brief and compared to the significance of such events was inadequate as well.
I'll start going on and on over each specific issue u stated and say what I think about it and about the way u handled it as well.

1] the AMERICAN narrative : I liked ur way of describing how the Americans see the world as a UNI-POLAR one. Guess what ?! .. that's very true !
but what happened in Syria, Sudan, Libya and ISIS has nothing to do with the USA !
the problems associating each one of those were created by them in the first place.

2] as to Russia : it makes more problems than it even realizes !
I see ur description of the Russian as incomplete, they aren't that innocent after all. Remember when Russia was the world's most powerful country.

3] China : after surfing the web for a limited interval of time searching for info about Chinese political situation, i found out that the real Key in the survival of political systems is not democracy in the western sense but a diffusion of power over generations, a leadership that reacts to popular concerns, and room for upward socio-economic mobility.
Which means that unlike here in the middle east, where strongmen and family dynasties who have ruled for decades on end have become the focal points of anger, there has been remarkable diffusion of power in China.
i.e. China's political situation is not threatening and it isn't that bad either.

4] the European section : u said this statement " People with fundamental Islam find secular wrong " which i didn't get. So plz explain it to me.
the European situation though is very much like how u
described, but they're not as Democratic as they seem to be. GERMANY 'till nw refuses TURKEY as a member of EU for no clear reason !

5] the ISLAMIC narrative : I'd like to dive into that part in particular, cuz it's related to me on so many levels.
    - the first part, in which u say that Muslims think that Allah created everything and they should be devoted to him, is very true. That's the essence of Islam, btw.
    - but this statement " Basically shariyat laws should be applied everywhere and Quaran should be taught to all " is just so WRONG. I quoted it to highlight what's wrong - acc. to me -.
U need to knw that SHARIYAA Laws are to be applied only wherever ppl accepted it as their laws and in a way that suits our modern world, they're not supposed to be applied everywhere by means of force ( that's a very misleading Image of Islam ).
As to the Holy Qur'an, It isn't to be taught every where only where ppl accept it.
In summary, there's AYA(phrase) in Qura'n says - i'll translate it into ENG - : " no one should be forced to enter Islam. Everyone is free to make their own choice whether to believe in Allah or not "
    - the last part of ur Islamic narrative, stating how Muslims see western liberal Ideas threatening to them and that they should fight it, is also inadequate for two reasons : [1st]  Cuz u r talking generally about western Ideas without specifying exactly what ideas bother Muslims the most.
[2nd ] u forgot an axiom in Islam that destructive thoughts and Ideas are to be fought with nothing but other constructive thoughts and Ideas. ( not Jihad, i won't dive deep into what's Jihad when it's used as a legal method of fighting. but for ur knowledge, most of what u see and hear around u isn't Jihad in the slightest ).

6] the Israel narrative : is one of the most narratives that i find unsatisfying, as it makes the Palestine-Israel Conflict very shallow. ur narrative only stated the geographical aspect of that conflict neglecting all the other aspects of that specific issue. One of the most important aspects - besides the religious one which i'm not gonna talk about - is the historical aspect which begins with the very first confrontation bet. the Arab countries and Israel in 1948.

7] in the INDIAN section : u realized ur main problem in the previous narratives which is that none of those narratives could be easily written on a piece of paper.
I knw nothing about India other than it's a country of GREAT civilization an that I'm addicted to the Indian online Engineering COURSES.
I'm a Student at the faculty of ENGINEERING and Indian instructors explain electronics and CSE ( computer science and Engineering ) Just perfectly.

Last but not least, I enjoyed this post very much, and ur perception of things around u is JUST intriguing( in a good way ).
U definitely have the talent of ANALYZING writing.

Einstein once said " A clever person tackles the problem, but a wise one avoids it ".
    I wish u all the best. :)
