I could hardly manage time to enter EC after then I took an effort to collect some pieces of information about plant and factory by googling and would like to share with you. May it will help to gain tiny knowledge about the difference between plant and factory.
Plant - the assets of a business including land, buildings, machinery and all equipment permanently employed. Plant is a combination of processes (involving a vast chemical change) where there may not be any apparent indication of the input materials, vs the output. power plant has an input of coal and water basically. but the output is electricity, which has no apparent link with input. Same with steel plant. Input is iron ore, manganese, coke (coal) etc, whereas output is metallic iron, steel, various gases etc. no apparent link between inputs and output...and there is a major chemical change.
A Chemical plant, a Gas plant, A power plant, A washing plant.
Factory – Factory is a place where the Inputs and Outputs would be physically quite different, but not chemically. in a factory, lot of physical and mechanical processing would be undertaken, but no major chemical change...tyre, engine, sheet, components, instruments, cable etc. goes in and output is a car ! All the input items can be individually identified chemically, but their physical shape/ property may be different.
A factory is a place where the production process of an economy actually takes place. It is what creates the growth in the economy. For example, think about a garment factory. A garment factory is where the preparing of garments actually happens. This could be weaving fabrics or sewing ready-made clothes.
Factories gather resources such as laborers, capital, and plant that are necessary for the production of goods. Factories are also characterized by the presence of warehouses. The purpose of the warehouses is to store huge equipment necessary for the production of goods.
A shoe factory, a car factory, a cosmetic factory, A garment factory.
Factory" has nothing to do with consumer goods, but simply implies "manufacturing" rather that "processing." "Plant is a more inclusive term that can include "factories." it's more common to use plant when the products are raw materials or power, whereas factories can be more specific.
PS: I like to dedicate the blog to the persons who were participated the in game of “Let's Play Jeopardy Again “ in round 74. And how could I deny to dedicate my dearest one’s.. Adorable Eva and dearest brother Arif, they are just very close to my heart. Also, would like to dedicate to all active members here.
Thank you, dear teacher Danny for your continuous help to gain knowledge about grammar and general knowledge.
