Planetary Conjunction

The alignment of the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter is currently visible in the sky. This rare phenomenon that began on January 20, 2016 will continue to be seen with the naked eye until February 20, 2016. This planetary concurrence could be best viewed at dawn from the last week of January to the first week of February, 2016.

For over a decade since its last appearance, this planetary alignment that last happened in December 15, 2004 - January 15, 2005,  is now back in the limelight.

If you miss to view this now there is another opportunity to see this again in the evening sky of August 13 - 19, 2016.

Have a nice day everyone!

  • Hi Onee-chan!

You know, (though sad) sometimes our first wish doesn't really come true. Anyway, from now on just look for the good things in life.

Maybe you can try looking at the sky again just to see the spectacular show of the planets in the sky. :)

    Thanks for dropping by, Onee.

  • Hi Anna!

It's good that you've tried to check the sky. Maybe you can try again early in the morning. Try viewing it an hour before sunrise maybe you'll see it the second time. :) Gosh! I'm really hoping you'll be able to see the beautiful display in the sky.

    Thanks for dropping by.

    Have a nice day!

  • Few things are nicer to me than sleeping under the stars in the countryside. Sadly long time ago I don't do it.

I noticed in the news about this event. Thanks Lynne for remembering, I'll bear in mind.
  • Dear Lynne,

The sky always be an amazing view in my eyes. I wanted to go into an astronomy major before, but it was far away from my home, so I didn't reach my wish since my parents didn't permit it. :D

Well, this time I'm out of date about this. So, thank you for your information. I will try to look up the sky at dawn. It'll be so wonderful! Thanks again.

  • Hello Lynne

I saw one of them dimmed and it easily lost ..

  • Wonderful, thanks for sharing such a great information.

  • Hello Expector Smith!

The truth is I checked it at 5:20 in the morning. Maybe you won't see it yet at night because of too much light around that creates a glow of excess light in the sky thus affecting the visibility of all the things we could/might see in the sky. My advice, check it early in the morning.  :)

Thanks for your visit on my blog. I so wish you could see the parade of the 5 planets too.

    Good day!
