fizzy, since it's not like the traditional Enka, with the light and easy style, even today the song gain new fans among young people. They creates new version their own earlier and later with Yoshi Ikuzo himself. A happy case.

Well, I grew up in a town. So the sight was far from yours and the songs', even in childhood there was much green and I ran around among tree and played Tarzan thing, still it was well developed. I admire to live in province(Hokkaido) since I've known the warm heart of them...
I really know what the song is trying to picture..I also experienced that when I was young in our province...I born in a province but raised in an urban place here..So I miss the quietness and simplicity of living there. You know climbing trees, ahm swimming in river and dancing in different village fiesta...Cool breeze, gentle people and the carabaos( more carabao than cow.. )..How about you reedom, are you born in Tokyo or in a countryside? Do you prefer living in a city or in a province/small village?
By the way the singer here is so energetic...Jolly and really enjoying his performance.
