Opening a can of worms in order just to let them slime and sneak on others one has to be aware that these worms might get back on you and treats you the way you expected for the others.
What would be your way to take them worms back in the can? Collect them one by one and put them back into the can or hit them to death with just one enormously huge flap and whistle pretending innocence?
Damn I might get an a..kick, though I can´t help. Needed to get rid of this thought.

hey Panie Rys, tell you what. As I assume you mixed and cooked your bigos yourself you can be sure about its ingreidients. So in case you found a twine of the cabbage looked a bit round and brownish you would know what it is.
Incase your wife has made the bigos you also might be at least 99% sure as you survived it. ;-)
Imagine you had industrial made bigos, I am sure there might be even worse in it :-!

As a keen angler, I am used to having worms creeping out of the box and wondering all around, even into my sauerkraut biogos container [for those not oriented what bigos is - it is sour cabbage cooked with different types of meat, herbs, prunes and mushrooms]. We, the lucky anglers, call such warm, wormy sauekraut all included bigos. ;)

Lol @ Rose, our chicken always tell me the worms caught before 5:00am were much more fresh and tasty than that caught later. That´s why they (the chicken) get up this early and cluck around while we are still sleeping.
It is good to know such life experienced people like Paula know to handle the carrot and the stick. And know when to bop on one´s head and when to donate comfort. Good advice will always be welcome.
Also good to know is that animal lovers still are no myth. Even if they have to go through invisibility like Mary. And it is good that usally invisibility not last too long utmost.

Just let them leave. They will disappear and you will simply move on and forget about it ;)
Zivi if it is one thing I have learned.......always leave the can of worms unopened if one can. But usually that is not how it goes.......and those little guys........well it is like they sprout 2 or more heads once the top of that can is opened.....LOL But I will try and give you a bit of comfort........never feel like the lone ranger if you happened to be the one that opened that said can of worms......because as unpleasant as it turns out to be.........we have all been there and done that. It is best to live and learn........other than to just live. But you wanta know a secret??? It took me a couple of those opened cans before I appreciated keeping those squirrely little things all locked up tight!!!!! Good topic!!!
