It was during my high school days I noticed her. She looked very beautiful in her long skirt and I cursed my parents for brought me jeans on my birthday. With cropped hair I looked more like a tomboy & I suppose that could be the reason why girls were keeping distance & I created big chaos back home. Only my grandmother could calm me down. After some days she fulfilled her promise by secretly bringing me skirt and a blouse. I couldn’t avert my eyes from mirror.wow I told myself J & I was impatiently waiting for Wednesday for wearing the same (We can wear color dress on first Wednesday’s of every month). Finally the day has come. I reached my school earlier and I was looking for my beautiful girlfriend Miya. Her eyes popped out of her head on seeing me in skirt and said wow you are looking very beautiful. How much does it cost? Very proudly I added some figures to its original cost and innocently said Rs.5000/-. Her jaw dropped & couldn’t utter a word for some time. Anyway thanks to skirt that has made our friend ship stronger.
Though she is beautiful nobody liked her & I couldn’t understand the reason .Later I came to know that she was notorious among our friends for her arrogance & selfishness but I didn’t feel her that way. Anyway I decided to change this opinion. We started to participate in sports and all other extracurricular activities only because it would help us to bunk classes & gain extra marks in examsJ. Soon we became very popular in our school. Within months she became selected as school leader & that has changed her completely. Once she told me that her parents had love marriage & her mother was expelled from her family & she added there has been never a single day in her life without seeing her parents fighting each other.
Days passed by and our final exams were nearing. Day before the exam she called me and said I’m afraid that I can’t attend the exam - same reason family problems & she bursted into tears. I consoled her and said don’t lose one year for silly reasons but she hang up without telling anything. I was totally depressed and I couldn’t study anything after her call. Next day I was completely blank and the fear that she would lose one year made me to do a misdeed. Without a second thought I dialed principal’s number from a nearby booth and said question papers are leaked so it would be better if you could postpone the exam & I hang up. The fear that I will be expelled from the school was unbearable & eating me alive. I trembled with fear and five minutes before the exam an announcement came that exam was postponed and date will be announced later. Though it chilled my mind however I deliberately forget the after effects as I settled owner of telephone booth with Rs. 1000. :-P. She almost fainted after hearing my audacious story but hugged me tightly and cried for hours. And I was feeling proud for myself. She added if you were a boy I would have married you & we were laughing so hard (lucky that no was around) that our jaw hurts.

Nice memory, you didn't do a misdeed, you helped your friend. She really needed help. When parents are always quarreling. There is a bad atmosphere at home and children can't study.
