This is a story about a kid who has to face the harshness of life so early in life. Her mother left her. She is now living with her addicted father. Her father made him to sell flowers on the streets. Whenever she sees a family, a mother with her kid hand in hand she dreams of having one.” Oh God if only I had parents who love me” she thinks then I would be the happiest child.
In winter when her hands are so cold she yearns for having a mother who can warm up her hands with kindness. She craves her father would hug her with so much love but alas they all live in her dreams and the harsh reality of life seems to smirk at her. She asks why her life should be in this way. Has she done anything wrong? She has no answer for all her questions. In her beautiful mind she dreams about her life in the future. She wants to be different from her parents. She says to herself” I will be a wonderful mom and I will make an amazing family”.
I know that her dreams will live on as long as she lives because it’s the only thing nobody could take it away from her. I wish all her dreams come true.
We come across so many kids like her. So many organizations are held to help these kids, but still so much needs to be done. Sometimes I blame irresponsible adults who bring them in this world and leave them on their own. Sometimes I blame society or government that does not take care of them. Sometimes I blame my own self, but I know that blaming will not help.
When I talk about theses kinds of issues people would say this is life you can not save all. But I believe there must be a way to save all kids, to give them a chance to live a better life and I wonder what that way is and what my role…is.

Dear Elen, I hope through education we could teach kids to become more responsible and thoughtful in order to make a better future for themselves and their kids. Thanks for your nice comment.
That's the reality, sometimes life is so unfair. You'll see that some bad and mean people are getting the blessings and all they want in life, while those kind-hearted are the ones who's suffering, that's the sad part.
I believe that everyone should have a dream and believe in it. Make it real, bring it to life. I pray for her dream, hopefully she can reach it.
Thanks for sharing.
This is not fiction this is a sad reality that we see everywhere now. Indeed we all have a role to play here because in this world we are our brother's keeper. We should be a stronger voice in our governments to allot more funds for this need and not too much focus on weapons and defense because the children are our future. Thank you Setareh, your words are always full of wisdom and heart. :)
There things happen, though.
We're living in a world we don't really know about. We really need a little bit luck just to live, let alone wealthy life. My heart goes out to those whose lives are so miserable.
I do blame not only to parents but also governments and hypocrites politicians since if we do nothing or stay apathetic nothing s gonna change.
My role in this and similar matters is trying to help as I can and inform against it or at least talking about the problem as you have done here.
Unfortunately there are some parents who not only are irresponsible but they abuse their children. I think that the only thing we can do is to denounce to the police that persons as soon as we realize that something is wrong with them.
Dear Raju, thanks for your corrction.
Dear Mishaikh, you are right we should do our part and be hopeful that oneday things will change for better.
