Dear Captain,

Summer is coming, and I plan to learn swimming. Mom has already promised to teach me how to swim as I begged her for a while. I can't wait to start it! To be honest, recently I am excited. You know, I like to learn new things.

I am happy for my promising coming days, but at the same time I am worried for Dongdong, the little boy, my new neighbor's son, who I mentioned in my last letter. Last Sunday when I came back home, I just found Dongdong lying beside the door of his house, sound asleep. It reminded me of my childhood. When Mom and Dad were busy with work, I did the same thing as Dongdong did. Yet I was lucky, I met Su then, who became one of my best friends, I mean except Ling. Later, once they worked overtime, I would stay with Su. Oh, Su! I miss her, and I hope she's happy in the heaven.

I carried Dongdong into my room and let him sleep in my bed. I also cooked dinner for him. After dinner, his father still didn't came back. Afterwards, we chatted a lot before his father came back home at 9pm. I am worried for little Dongdong. He's just 9, and his father comes back late almost every day! As his neighbor, I'd love to do something for him. But I don't think my help will change his situation. And his father isn't to blame because he just wants to make more money and offer Dongdong a better life. Alas! How poor!

How's your life? Write to me and share with me your new stories, please. Take good care!

Yours,

Nikita

  • Alas, you are right, sis sewar. It's a pity. Anyway life is expectable in general. However hard it is, never lose hope.

Thanks for your care, I am enjoy my simple joyful life currently. I hope you too!

    ;-)

  •           Money.........Money.........Oh my little princess!!!  Under the name of money, we have lost many voluble things such as; the bright sun shine of our youth, the sweetness of memories with our children or friends, the warmth of our beds in cold nights, the shadow of little bet smile on our cracked lips, the nobleness of morals and dignity, even we have lost the joy of our love......All that; under the name of money. Yes, money is very important to keep a roof over our heads, but comparison to what we lose in return, it will be nothing.

Finally Sweety, I wish you to not miss every joy in your life. God bless you my friend.

  • Aariz and Mohammad, thanks for liking this blog~

    ;-)

  • Yeah, you understand the situation, Gopel. There's not always a perfect solution for every problem.

  • Giggling, sis Anele, it seems you like Nikita more and more now.

Hmm, life is really far from merciful sometimes. Kids should be taken good care while some parents have no choice but sacrifice the time that should be spent with kids...

    ;-)~

  • El, glad to hear that. Thanks for reading and giving your comment!

    ;-)

  • You'll figure it out finally, trust me, my ES!

  • Most of the parents in the present world will see their children grow horizontally in the sense they will come late when their children were asleep

  • Father has to work, else his family will go hungry.  Oh, we are sometimes cornered by the cruelty of life, bound to slavery by fate.

It's good that you are there.  Maybe it's one of your roles on earth... to bring comfort to the kid.  How great your new role is!

I always love reading Nikita's adventure.  Please keep us updated always.  Till next adventure!  Mwahhh!

  • I'm curious to know if the captain replied to the letters:))
