Call sb's bluff: give sb the chance to do what he says he will or prove what he claims, and perhaps find that he really won't or can't
Call sth in: request or order the return of sth, for instance, the bank has decided to call in all its loans immediately
. The car company is calling in all Mark 2 models as it has been discovered that the brakes on that design are defective.
Call sb names or call names at sb: jeer at or insult sb with rude or unpleasant names, for example, in the playground, they called him names like "fatty" and "stinkpot"
Call sb /sth off: order sb to stop doing sth, such as attacking or pursuing in a situation "For God's sake, call your dog off before he kills one of those lambs"
Call sth off: cancel a plan, arrangement or business deal before or after it has begun
