Napoleon Bonaparte - Part I -

Hello everyone,

I have not been here for a long time, I need some time for speaking practice and improving reading and understanding skills, exactly at that point I am so much impressed by French History and its turmoil events such as from -revolution- consulate system to - Empire - finally  Republic.

Especially Bonapart's life, key to success and unfourtunately "from empire to be sent into exile", this very dramatic history pushed me trying to write an informative essay as touching on French history, in my own words for just shaping my writing skill.

A brief history of one of the world's greatest military leaders and very strategic empire.

 "Napoleon Bonaparte"

At the height of the Napoleonic era is the most glorious time of French history.

Charismatic soldier-politician leadership proclaimed himself emperor in 1804 and wanted to establish solid dynasty so created a French dominated empire in Europe. Napoleon ruled for 15 years, within this time period he was constantly at war thus ruled over 70 million people throughout Germany, Italy, Spain and more.....which countries were to establish a coalition against to him. There would be seven coalition wars to stop Napoleon's conquering army.

His the biggest important battles against Britain, respectively Prussia, Avustria, Russia. Major conflict with major various coalitios of European nations had been. Napoleonic wars were massive in terms of expense.

Two significant wars Trafalgar Battle and Waterloo Battle which were naval engagements, Trafalgar shattered Napoleon's plans to invade England, The battle of Waterloo brought him the end.

Because of the superiority of Britain at sea with admiral Nelson, who had started the British Era in history. Napoleon knew French naval forces were not as strong as Britain at sea and was unable to defeat. He made economic warfare against British with establishment continental system to blockade their trade. So he would get strong opposition. Napoleon was very strategic and but he was so ambitious leader.

NAPOLEON BONAPARTE (1769 -1821)

He was born in Corsica, French İsland.  He became Military General, First Council, First Emperor,,

The circumstances of the French Revolution (1789-1792) Napoleon's RISE:

He came into the Directory as commander of the Army (1795-1799), took charge of the  Army of Italy, victories against Austrians,  and much mentioned Egypt campaing for three years (1798)

End of the PART I

I'd welcome any corrections.

  • Oi, there

To my humble reckoning, the most outstanding and visible achievement of Napoleon is the maimed face of Sphinx....
