Meat is my favorite food item. Though I can't eat some of them. Some creates allergy problem in my body. Here, I tried to write some common and popular names of meats.
1. Beef- meat from an adult cow
2. Veal- meat from a young cow
3. Lamb- meat from a young sheep
4. mutton- meat from an adult sheep
5. Bacon- meat from a pig ( thin pieces)
6. Pork- meat from a pig
7. Horseflesh- horse meat
8. Venison- meat from a deer
9.Wild boar- meat from a wild boar
Anyway what is the name of snake and goat meat?

There's many variations in the way meat is prepared and presented. Thankfully, you covered the basics. Honestly, and as far as I know, there is no real name for snake or goat meat in American English Language besides calling it what it is. Often, we speak about how we'd like the meat cooked (rare, medium rare, medium well done, or well done). My personal favorite is roasted beef tri-tip (cooked over the coals to medium rare perfection) and served up with a baked potato and salad. That makes for one happy California cowboy. :)
nice blog, I've never heard about Venison and Wild boar!!!
very useful blog
thank you my friend
This is an interesting post with useful information for English learners! I always find it interesting when small children realize that the beef they eat is from a cow or that bacon is from a pig.
very nice informations...keep it up
There are what we call 'beef bacon' and also 'chicken ham'. They are not from pig, but from cow and chicken respectively.
Interesting...! you can add Ham (pig's meat) into your list.
I have got...kid/carbito is meat from a young goat whereas mutton/ chevon is the meat from an adult goat!
Thanks, Dimi brother! I knew some, some I collected lately. Yes, Bapuji...you are right but to have balanced food we need meat. Specially for young people, it is good food.
