I think we all agree Danny is a very good choice, no matter whether you voted for him or not, because his great contribution to the site it's not only because of his knowledge, but also because of his personal values: kindness, politeness, empathy... These are very important things for being a good and well-liked member. So here I want to say a big THANKS to Danny for being part of this English Community :)
Another good thing of this 'EC Democracy's Experiment' is that other members also recieved a well deserved appreciation and recognition for their activity. We can see that checking how it was the final vote count:

Well, I am afraid of being that member who spoils the party here, if I comment. But nevertheless, I will leave my comment here.. And I sincerely wish that you guys will not mind it and will understand it in the correct and Democratic way (as to Mary).. And I wish that my comment will not be carrying any prejudiced or hard feelings to anyone of you and especially to Danny here..
Well.. personally, I am sorry to say that I think (and it's just a personal opinion) that Danny really doesn't deserve it.. I am sorry Danny, but when we think about it..oh, Let me explain it to you, coz it seems that you can not understand it because your whole cycle of friends are either hypocrite or female ones...
First, you are not paying so much attention to to your male friends as the matter that you prefer to be surrounded with so many of your female friends.. Also, when I look at Luci's challenges (in general), Her success is very outstanding to all of us here.. She could make a real volcano of activation us here, while you were only one of those who were involved in her cycle of her great ideas (like anybody else here)..
At last, I would like to tell you Danny that I wish you a happy fool's day.. and yes.. I was very honest with all what I said here, aren't I? And, yes.. you truly doesn't deserve the star of March only.. coz, you truly deserve being the star of 2017 as a whole :)

My dear friends, I am about to burst out in tears of emotion! I really wonder you decided to vote for me as it is quite natural for a teacher to teach. I do enjoy teaching, but my being so active is your merit. If you were more fluent, I would have noting to do but to post my crazy verses, my ungifted music and my weird jokes here. In fact, it is students who make a teacher's career. So, my bright EC career is a result of your not knowing grammar, idioms and many other things. As I have said earlier, there is no need to vote for me as I have been the EC star since the moment I enteded this site! Hahaha! Very modest! LOL! To be serious, I am really flattered as all artists need applause! (MY BIG SMILE!). And I am really happy that I can be helpful and give you some knowledge and I am happy I don't waste my time as I do see the progress. Thirdly, ehmmmm Frankkkk.....whaaat??? I took this all like something entertaining what EC member created for other EC members ..just exactly like I came up with Miss and Mr EC contest in prehistorical times... I don't see any problem in such activities and wouldn't take it so officially. Like Mary said and I also got it like this it was just about one month, nothing more... I m just wondering where are votes for Top Star Member 1 :o ;D yeah I had to say it...sorry :D

Hey Fr@nk! I knew someone could say something about the low rate of participation, taking in mind the number of total members in EC. So, that 'someone' was you! :D Well, what can I say... It's just like when there are elections in any country: Lot of people don't vote and then complain about the system or who was chosen XD
I get what you say, but still this is not any 'hall of fame' of mine... I didn't say anybody who they should to vote and people who were voted were clearly some of the most active members, so it makes pretty much sense that they were chosen.
But one of the things I'd like ppl to think about with this 'Game' is this exactly: To make a reflection of how the democracy works in our real life, how we make (or not) use of it, how much we care (or not) about it, what reasons we take in mind to vote this or that, etc.
So, probably now the question/reflection we all should try to answer/make is: Why the active people here are always the same few members? Why we don't usually see new members posting things? Why people don't feel like participating more in the site?
At least I hope this silly 'experiment' of mine bring us some reflections ;)

I'm just a new member, I don't deserve a thing, really. I'm just doing things out for learning, though I don't know if I'm moving or stationary. Meeting new people here and get to know them, learn from them elevates my motivation to come back and write again and again. In real life, it's different. I asked people to be my online relatives, 'cause I don't have that in real life. EC helped a lot, more than you can imagine.
