Hail to the STAR MEMBER OF MARCH, Sir DANNY CLARK!!
*applauses*

^_^

We can't really say it has been a very hard-fought election, but all the people who voted for Danny had very clear and strong reasons:

"He’d been so helpful to all members and explain how he corrects the grammar usage, tenses, prepositions, phrasal verbs and tons of useful tips"  ~Risty Aven

"I do aprecciate a lot his effort to make our English better, to teach us here for free, invest his time in scolding stupid innocent people like me and somehow forcing them to start doing sth! Danny, it is awesome to have you here and all words aren't enough to express my big thank you for everything" ~Luci

"I totally agree with everything Luci said about Mr. Danny Clark. [That's] what makes him so valuable to us. ~Rose

"He constantly gives us his test and his knowledge and help us soooooo much to improve our English!! His help is precious here in EC. I admire how patient he is with us. He has so many corrections to make for each one of us and explanations to say again and again! ~Elen

Pretty good reasons for being a Star, right? :)
I think we all agree Danny is a very good choice, no matter whether you voted for him or not, because his great contribution to the site it's not only because of his knowledge, but also because of his personal values: kindness, politeness, empathy... These are very important things for being a good and well-liked member. So here I want to say a big THANKS to Danny for being part of this English Community :)

Another good thing of this 'EC Democracy's Experiment' is that other members also recieved a well deserved appreciation and recognition for their activity. We can see that checking how it was the final vote count:

Total votes: 14

Danny Clark: 6 votes

Luci: 3 votes

Risty Aven: 3 votes

Since some of you also made a great campaign for Luci and Risty, I'd like to give them an honorary treatment as well! ^_^

...And also BIG THANKS to all the EC Members and especially to all of you who participated in this 'Democrazy Game'! ;)

Let's celebrate now!

  • Dear Mary, I wonder that you take a comedy for a drama! You are an artist and I have really thought you are. Well, I see that you are serious and I seriously want to know if I sound that way. I work with women, more than 50% of my colleagues are ladies. I always joke, trick, prunk them in the same way or even harder. And I tell you, they don't mind although they are ready to execute me! But it is our way and it is OK as I tease them all the time and they like to have an opportunity to show their teeth. I just provoke them to say what they want. Here, in EC, I behave the same way and most of ladies accept it as my kidding. And if you think I am "out of date" I can say you don't know me at all. I have always been a rebel. And if women were still considered to be the "weaker" gender, I would take their side.

  • Danny plz, don't be so dramatic :P

I know pretty well your will is good and how much you respect women. It's just maybe that you come from a more 'traditional' education and you can't see some things as 'sexist' as they actually are nowadays. For this reason it's good to talk about it, that's how ppl can understand each other, right? :)

Sorry if I'm being a lil pain in your a*s, but I'm glad we can talk about it. Thanks.

  • Dear Mary, I sincerely apologize for making you feel that way but I am really glad you "erupted" your negative emotions on me. We do need to relieve our minds from time to time and I deserve your burst of indignation as my tongue is my worst enemy. My behaviour is unjustifiable! I can't pass away with such a heavy heart! So, I beg your pardon on my knees to rest in peace!

  • Well, I'm the first one who laughs about her own shadow and say funny silly comments all the time in EC (that probably many ppl don't find 'funny' at all) But if you could be a woman at least for a week you probaly could understand my complaint. Don't be naive thinkin' that we've reached an 'equal' position in the society: A woman has to deal with sexist comments, situations or microaggressions on a DAILY basis, and even worse things in some parts of the world. What I'm trying to say here is that patience has a limit: A woman has to ignore lot of little silly comments and situations everyday, and here I just want you to understand that, at some point, we can 'burst' for a silly comment because we had to ignore a dozen before.

I only wanna ask for a 'walk a mile on my shoes' reflection. Again, I'm the first one who likes to write silly comments and jokes, and probably they're innapropiate sometimes too... but I think we all are smart enough to recognize an offensive joke after all. I couldn't say any joke about jew people while visiting Auschwitz, for instance. And it's not a good idea either to make some sexist jokes that lot of women here can read... Because women still are fighting a (long) battle and that's what make us to feel so sensitive about it.

  • AG, great response! It is time for us to establish some private club not to forget about our existance! Hahaha!

  • Hehehehehehehehehe, Mary it is a good way to dodge admitting your being fooled... OK, Mary... Don't worry.. At least, you can not see our faces while laughing :P
  • Mary, dear, why? I thought you realized I am kidding! Oh, boy! Do you really think any man can say such things seriously? I am really sorry if you got me wrong! I am not that Macho man at all! My life has always been ruled by women and I am really happy with the results. And, please, don't take me serious! I am that way only teaching

  • Okay guys, thanks for dropping by again and to AG for showing us how bad he's playing pranks.

The only thing is that you should know that is not a good idea to play the 'Macho Men Club' right at my face, because you can end up 'scratched' ¬¬

Danny, you know that I appreciate you but plz, don't say things like "Risty needs only a man to make her feel a woman". A woman doesn't need any 'guy' to feel like a woman same as any guy needs a woman to feel like a guy. That's a very old sexist comment that we just better leave for these old corny romantic songs from the 80's.

And when you say "what a pity you refuse from being my SECOND muse! Sure, any woman prefers to be THE FIRST and unique", you make it sound as if you were a gift that women can't share ¬¬  I refused 'cause I'm not any 'muse'. I'm the artist myself.

And I would like to make clear that I'm not any 'feminist', but some comments are so innapropiate for this 21st Century that I can't keep quiet, sorry...

  • Dear Mary, I hope you don't mind my comments here. Well, I was so ancxious to reply AG's comment that I had forgotten to say something.

Well, as you know our dear Risty turned out to be my illegitimate kid (who knows how many I have?) and due to her bipolar disorder, I have to deal with both of her personalities now. While Evil Risty needs only a man to make her feel a woman, Good Risty needs to read at least The Pagan Christ by Tom Harpur. This girl is not as modest as she pretends to sound! If she states she is smarter that any pofessor, I just wash my hands! LOL!

  • I hope so, Danny.. I will do my best..
