I feel rather confused to answer the question ”How is my Christmas”.After a while of thinking, here is my answer:My Xmas this year is:- I have a plan making my own paper pine tree. I have a nice one!- I make my nail painted with the Xmas theme.- Walking in our yard and around my apartment to see how they decorate for Noel. I can feel Xmas spirit is all around.- Listening to Christmas songs.- Driving my motorbike with my friend to the center where is always bright on holiday.- Buying tiny cup cakes for my friend and a co-worker.- Going to a trading mall with my friend and taking a lot of picture with colorful pine tree, snow man….- Having a reason to go to a relative’s house to have a small party: eating and chatting. That is how I know, how I feel and how I celebrate Xmas for my self.In my country we don’t have days off for Christmas. In fact, I’m not Christian. My ex is. He told me it is time for family. Christians go to the church. Then the family gather having dinner. They stay awake till midnight. The matter of fact I think the youth will go with their lover to Christian hamlets where people decorate their house with Xmas tree, snow man, Santa Claude, Rock cave…. r doing whatever they want to enjoy Xmas.It is nearly Christmas now. We feel excited waiting for Christmas and New Year. Many new cool things will come. Wish you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Dear Ann! You are absolutely right about religion if people accept it in the right way. All world religions propagate goodness. It is life phylosophy and when you read the Bible or Koran, everything sounds so right and peaceful. But if any religion makes any nation to start wars or to destroy the greatest achievements of others, if it makes couples to break up or men behave like beasts, if it dictates us how to live, I am against it. Not to say I have never believed there is someone somewhere who can control our lives. If I did, I wouldn't be able to teach natural sciense and to live my life. As to the Christian Church, I don't know for sure. But in the European and American countries people can marry each other independently on their faith. We just go to the City Hall and register our relationship and only such a marriage license is considered to be valid. The church ceremony is only for those who want to have it. If people get married in the church only, they are accepted as a couple by the society, but not by law. There are only a few places in the USA where you can get married at the chapel only and first of all, it is Las Vegas. But the records are always sent to the administratives. I don't know if i have answered your question. Just ask more, OK?
Nice Ann! I am happy for you! As for me, yesterday boss let me leave earlier from the work and i had the change to spend time with my brother who was there. Today it is Christmas i am all day with family and i will go out with friends later! About the word of the year, hmmm i haven't think yet. I will make a blog if i found my word!
Dear Danny, I think every religion is good and leads us to the happy, good things. It is good to have a religion. But for myself I have no one. I just wonder why a fiancé of Christian has to be a Christian too. Buddhism does not require it.
Dear Elen: thank you Elen! Yesterday I have a nice day :). We just came home and cooked normal dishes and enjoyed dinner with each other. The stress yesterday is so crowded. We stayed at home and looked at the noisy, crowded street. It sparkled with the vehicles' lights. How about yours Elen? And what is your word in this new year? I'm eager to read. :)
Dear Ann! I see you have great plans for your Christmas (Smile!). Hope, you'll realize them all. I have to admit, I was christened when a teen, but I have never been religious. But in America almost everybody celebrates Christmas independently on faith. It is one of the brightest, most pleasant holidays, time of goodness and love, the best memories of childhood and a lot of fun>
